my jaw dropped when i saw this, not for the faint of heart.

Door2Dawn 02-25-2012 06:14 PM

HOLY FUCK

Broder Salsa 02-25-2012 06:15 PM

I am starting to believe everyone are recording themselves drive now. That looks pretty crazy, surely the guy in car died.

His car literally exploded. I think that's a safe assumption.

Sinatar 02-25-2012 06:16 PM

Wow that truck got annihilated.

dragonlife 02-25-2012 06:17 PM

Wow.

Speevy 02-25-2012 06:17 PM

Was that car made of cardboard?

Darklord 02-25-2012 06:17 PM

You know he dead.

TylerD 02-25-2012 06:17 PM

Kind of hard to form an appropriate response to that. Looks 100% fatal.

Nappuccino 02-25-2012 06:17 PM

baekshi 02-25-2012 06:18 PM

you can't survive that

‹bermatik 02-25-2012 06:18 PM

Oh shit... guess there's little chance he survived?

∀ Narayan 02-25-2012 06:19 PM

Barring a jetpack escape, I don't think so.

dorkimoe 02-25-2012 06:20 PM

nobody in that suv is walking away from that

LuchaShaq 02-25-2012 06:21 PM

Odds are if they guy behind them was filming it the SUV driver was already causing issues driving poorly/too fast for the road conditions. Hard to feel bad for the SUV driver when it was their own poor decision making that put everyone else in danger. Hop the truck driver+ the driver in the vehicle near it are ok though.

The Omega Man 02-25-2012 06:21 PM

people have been killed in less spectacular car accidents, whoever was in that car was pulverized, reduced to nothing

TheExodu5 02-25-2012 06:22 PM

This is why you buy winter tires.

Nibel 02-25-2012 06:22 PM

Holy shit..!

Im loving the assumptions that come together in your head after seeing something like this.

Also, how about the car following the semi? talk about getting your adrenaline going, box truck missed them by inches.

Edit: The box truck driver should get a fucking medal, amazing save.

Kinyou 02-25-2012 06:24 PM

....off to cancel my driving lessons

Nerfgun 02-25-2012 06:25 PM

pretty clear what happend...

SUV driver got distracted, drifted left, panicked when he/she noticed and over steered to the right, into the cube van... then bounced off that into the oncoming semi. horrible.

_Isaac 02-25-2012 06:25 PM

Wow. That's really horrifying. It pretty much disintegrated.

deejay8595 02-25-2012 06:26 PM

WOW! The truck disintegrated so quickly.

Wow that's quite an assumption to make from no info at all.

Do you live in a rural Russian area? I think you'll be safe.

Can't think of a single reason besides that to randomly be recording the road and this doesn't seem to be police footage.

Looks like it is at least on its way to hit the truck and not escape completely unharmed.

Epicman3 02-25-2012 06:27 PM

I feel so bad for the person in the car.

Devin Olsen 02-25-2012 06:28 PM

I've watched a lot of car accident videos, but I hate literally never seen anything that even comes close to comparing to this.

That was insane.

RIP

Ciastek3214 02-25-2012 06:28 PM

Pretty much what I saw too.

How fast were they going down that snowy highway for that 4x4/SUV to disintegrate so quickly?!

UFRA 02-25-2012 06:30 PM
Can't think of a single reason besides that to randomly be recording the road and this doesn't seem to be police footage.
I'll give you 3 from the top of my head...

1) These folks are on a road trip and wanted a story to tell "look at this crap weather we hit in [insert location here]!"

2) New camera and they thought they'd try it out by recording some moving footage to see how well it does.

3) They were recording the driving because crazy shit happens in bad weather and they wanted to capture it on video.

nitewulf 02-25-2012 06:30 PM

damn.....that puts things in perspective alright. jesus.

Despera 02-25-2012 06:31 PM

This has got to be the most brutal car crash ever caught on tape. The car exploded into a million particles.

Holy shit!

Slayer-33 02-25-2012 06:32 PM
Pretty much what I saw too.

The opposite directions did the most harm, although that 18 wheeler was cruising really fast but there was open road ahead of him.

tfur 02-25-2012 06:32 PM

What a shitty shitty highway design.

A lot of cities and states are retro fitting highways with divider/barrier technology.

slider 02-25-2012 06:33 PM

Really a catastrophe from such small beginnings. Ugh.

nitewulf 02-25-2012 06:33 PM

they wouldn't have to drive too fast....the truck is huge so it has a lot of momentum...which transfers to the small SUV, momentum causes the explosion, not the speed alone.

railGUN 02-25-2012 06:35 PM

I drive in shit like that all the time, with tons of semi's on the same highway, and the road is a lot narrower with cliffs and a river on the one side.

It's rural russia.

Ra\/en 02-25-2012 06:35 PM

The person/people in the SUV is/are clearly dead. Horrifying. I'm going to think about this video next time I'm driving in rural alberta in the winter... :S

Cloudius12 02-25-2012 06:35 PM

oh dear...stay away from Nissan vehicle purchases.
Can't think of a single reason besides that to randomly be recording the road and this doesn't seem to be police footage.
There are alot of insurance fraud in UK/Europe area. Where 2 or more people work together to make you hit their car.

Indeed.

And it's only when something tragic like this happens that changes are considered. Fuck.

Sean 02-25-2012 06:36 PM

Holy shit.

I was expecting the SUV to get pushed or flip over or something, not burst into a million tiny pieces. That's brutal.

Archer 02-25-2012 06:37 PM

Looked like a Chevy Trailblazer or GMC equivalent.

Edit: But it's in Russia, so who knows.
