It was great to actually see people on tonight but we really don't have a lot of active members left based on the community stats. Hopefully things will pick up again once the 3DS gets another drought... whenever that will be.

I posted yesterday I just picked this one up. I played a little bit last night with a buddy of mine who also has the game (we just got our 3DS systems after Xmas).

Anyways I was thinking of playing with some of you. Should I try and join one of the GAF communities posted in the OP or are those old and not working communities anymore? Do I need to just add people individually through friend codes?

Alright just played my 1st round with a random GAFer playing as Luigi.

I had fun with whomever I was playing against. They were legitly better than me at this stage in the game, but I won because of dat blue shell. I totally sucked at the music track since it was my 1st time playing it. I just played my first round of SP 50cc before then and had unlocked the next cup. So I figured I'd try out one of the tracks and we both picked Music. LOL

I swear it seemed like you were offroading it like a boss sometimes with ease. Not sure if that was just your kart or mushrooms or what. You were crazy fast compared to me though.

Anyways had fun Kart-GAF!

PS: I need to unlock more stuff! I got something new for collecting 100 coins tonight.

And I only picked music because I saw you picked it, and I figured I hadn't played it in a while so why not :)

On a side note...

I could stare at that picture of the globe in space for hours. It just looks sooo good in 3d to me. I don't know what it is about that globe and the stars, but I just love looking at that.

mario circuit2...just before the last jump, fired a red shell hoping to get the first place driver on the air...he had a mushroom and used it to fly over the shortcut really fast...i took the shortcut using the yellow bouncing brick thing...and as i landed back on the road my OWN RED SHELL hit me in the back.....

I've had my red shells come after me several times. I'm not sure if that's an intentional backfire mechanic (like how sometimes the bombs you throw forward let everyone pass and then blow up as you approach) or a glitch.

That's not that unsual lately. Was it a mirror match by any chance? I've noticed that no one ever attempts the glitch on mirror Wahu.

I have hit myself with a Red Shell a couple of times... I'm pretty sure it's lag, though.

It has happened when I fire it being too close to the target. It hovers behind the car for like a second (as if he was holding it) and I happen to reach my opponent and it hits me :(
