Damn. So hyped for getting my Vita. I imported from the US (though they are selling a sort of FEB equivalent here in Colombia) and i caved in on Amazon's B2G3 promo. Can't wait on Uncharted, FIFAan wipEout, and I already had preordered Rayman. Tried it both here (Uncharted and wipEout on a demo booth) and are fucking awesome.

I must say that what made me buy a Vita was Near's capabilities for gameplay and social stuff and PS3+PSV cross gameplay. I have had wished with cross-game play like like Warrior's Lair (Ruin) does.

Just hope there are enough people to use Near with here... still, can't wait!

Well technically he's right, buy 2 games and you get 3 total.

Ok, did a full backup on the PC for my US account.
Then did a a factory reset and restored from backup. Just some notes on what I notice:

All my Japanese demos copied over fine to PC and back to Vita.
My start screen was restored to my preferred image.
Backgrounds and bubble locations were not saved though.

Bluetooth is back on, even though I had it disabled before. Location has to re-enabled for stuff.
Usage data is reset. Brightness and other misc settings kept as I had them.
PSN password must be re-entered.

Near data updates have been restored, cool. And it finally works again!
But look at this, haha:

If it was Super AMOLED, it would have the pentile pixel arrangement, and if it was Super AMOLED Plus, it would not have it. According to the picture below of the Vita magnified (not my picture), it shows that it has a traditional RGB pixel arrangement, which means it's likely to be Super AMOLED Plus.

The Motorola Droid Razr uses Super Amoled Plus technology and is advertised by Motorola as such. They even go as far as to say their screen tech gives higher output [and yes it's a Samsung screen made by Samsung].

IIRC someone here said the Sony headset was one of the worst headphones he's ever worn.

Y'know? There's this local forum which I constantly check where several PS3 users have bought Vitas in local SonyStyle stores. Shureli there won't be a lot of Vita users locally, stit there are lots (and I really mean lots) of people who have bought PS3's and are very interested on buying Vitas.

Finally got a chance to play around with a demo unit at Target for a few minutes. Man the screen is gorgeous. Really pops and becomes the system's standout feature. The touch is pretty much on par and as responsive as iOS stuff from the limited use I got. My main gripe though is the controls. Man the analog sticks are TINY. For some reason I was expecting them to be bigger. The biggest problem isn't necessarily the size, but the fact that because they are so small you get such a seemingly limited range. My instant thought was that dual stick FPS might be a little tougher to play than they should be. Also don't care for how "clicky" the buttons and d-pad are. I don't' remember the PSP ones being that way.

100% digital seems like a very hard thing to do with only 32GB. Especially when launch games are reaching >3GB.

Content Manager is good for backing up your games if you need space, and you can always download them again at anytime.

When you switch accounts (aka regions), if you don't deactivate when you leave an account and then when you come back to it if you activate again, does it use up a 2nd activation even though it's the same hardware ID tag?

Basically if you keep switching accounts over the weeks/months on one Vita is it possible to use up all your activations and be locked out of all your games? Or do the activations go by some sort of hardware ID tag so as long as its the same system it'll never use up more than 1 activation?

You only need to deactivate if you're sending the system away for repair, or selling it off.
It's tied to the hardware ID.

I activated my JPN and US accounts, and have switched multiple times without deactivating again.
