All shots the game thinks are special are automatically recorded and saved in the data section of the game. That's my understanding anyway.

Anyone get the Platinum crown? What does "Win with only the set club number" mean?

I used standard clubs and balls and it didn't count so I'm lost.

Ok, I just picked this up based on one of your impressions in the Official Thread. Someone said something to the effect of how much fun the game was, how it was the best online Vita game, and how strong the GAF community was. So I went out today and bought it.

Congratulations! I've reached the bronze tournament and I've yet to make an eagle or a hole-in-one. Plenty of chip-ins though and those feel pretty great as well.

The description in the OP reads "Win without changing the default club selected by the game." Good luck with that one!

Just checked on my copy, doesnt look like it gives the option.

I'm happy that I picked up this game along with my Vita. Really digging it and the online is amazing. Never got into the series, but I did like their tennis version on the PSP. Hard to put down now that it's getting a bit tougher.

Got my first hole in one and first eagle in back to back holes! Then just took 3rd in my first online match (big cup). Such a great game. Addicted like OoB all over again.

This is why they should of left the terrain line/graph in, I'm getting to grips without it but it was a lot easier to gauge with the graph.

Only advice I can say is keep an eye on the indicator telling you how far you are above/below the pin, after a while you learn how much extra power is needed, for example, for a 10cm slope you my need an extra half segment of power, 23cm a full segment etc, those are just examples and are not necessarily accurate.

Tourney 2...I was doing pretty well, but I had a lie on the rim of a bunker, apparently every shot was a BONK and cost me far too many strokes. -_-

Heard raves about this series for years, but I never tried it until I got my Vita. Charming, fun, arcadey without sacrificing depth--definitely my favorite launch game!

Eventually I'll get around to venturing online. Gotta get my skillz up first, though.

no...especially not when they hit HIO's on bronze, skull shots that still land .3 from pin etc etc

HSG has always had a whack AI...theyll make a totally outrageous shot and very next turn miss a 3" putt

Wow, how long did that take? I haven't gotten a single crown yet.

Excellent turnout these last 2 matches. We had a full 30 going in the game about to start.

The Eagle I hit in the last match was pretty amazing and would not have happened had it not been for having the turbo spin ball.

Thought I had that last game, going into the 9th with a shot lead, then LiquidMetal turns up with an Eagle.

DAMN, that last hole in the current game. I hit it near the water and it bounced off the wooden plant and back into play. SO LUCKY. Landed in sand but manages to save birdie. What a break.

Is there somewhere in the game that says what you need to get the crowns for each event? I've got 4 (three for 3 birdies in a row and 1 for scoring under -4) but I have yet to see where it says what you need to do, I just got there by chance.

my favorite replay was when the ball went to the cup, and swirrled around it 4 times, before finally slowly falling into the hole.

I've been playing on and off since the 15th. I still haven't got any hole in ones/double eagles yet though.

I pretty much used a maxed loyalty Max with Big Air club/ball for the harder events.

The requirements for crowns is right on the picture screen, when you select the event.

I think the game calculates the shot will go in and then it plays around with the ball a bit at the last second... for entertainment.

My hole in one was kind of weird too... the ball was going straight in but right at the last second it swirled around the cup 5-6 times.

Kind of funny... makes the shots more fun to watch. I enjoy the spectacle.

The Bronze 100% GIR with rain and gale force winds one is annoying the crap out of me right now. I have 36 crowns complete, soo close to finishing.

I think step 4 is wrong too... the codes aren't case sensitive, as far as I know.

edit: Actually it seems to fill in the caps as you type, I never noticed that before.

Yeah, I've forced myself to play Katamari and BlazBlue...Otherwise, this would absorb my Vita. Which I guess is good - I'm getting my monies worth like mad!
