Wow Sangmu is definitely my favorite incarnation, and gott dang what a comeback, Lab Zero stay defeating fate
Given the choice between a manual or some kind of small artbook, which would people prefer?
Manual sounds kinda scary because it's a lot more design intensive because you have to try to communicate how to play the game, and people probably just mostly care about art?
Also could got full Japanese LE with some pencil boards or something like that.
I support this as well.Just an idea, but it could be cool to go the Rockstar route and have the manual/art book be stylized like an in-game book. Like some encyclopedia that perhaps Ajna's father would have read to her to teach her about the world or something like that
Don't say that Peter, I know you aren't such a heartless monster....Also, Vita will be deader than dead by the time we're done. :\

Any word on them stretch goals? What about that opening cinematic animated by Studio Trigger I'm hearing about? *whistles nonchalantly*
Shame that Crowdcharts is down. I'd love to see the daily amounts chart.

When they are given time and money they can make amazingly well animated work, especially under Yoshinari (see: LWA). It's not like everything they make is Inferno Cop tier.
I WAS gonna head to bed, but the total just jumped again, $17.5K left.
And what's wrong with Inferno Cop?
And what's wrong with Inferno Cop?
I didn't say it was bad, I was referring to budget. Shit like Inferno Cop and Ninja Slayer were done with what was probably a piece of lint and some shoestring for budget.
Guess I need to post this again since there are some people who seem to have already forgotten after 2 page. Wow, how the mind slips!
"Allegedly"
Opening admitting to sexually assaulting someone(then banning anyone who called him out for it)
Posting revenge porn with their real full names then another admin(a now jailed pedophile) printed the photos and jacked off over them and sent it to the boyfriend.
You're right, how can we even know if he's guilty or not? HMMMM
Also:
Personally as cool as some of the guests are, and I think I'll mess around with a couple (Shantae, Annie, and Drifter specifically), I'm much more enthusiastic about building from the game's primary Incarnations.
I'm the same. The guest characters shatter the illusion of narrative coherency for me, so I'll mostly just roll with the Labzero ones.

I imagine the pessimism and likelihood of this happening were low at first so people were reluctant to pledge. Now that it's happening those people are pledging.
Might be time to start preparing the celebratory gifs

Holy shit, Sangmu looks phenomenal. I love everything about her design. The vibrant usage of colour, the flow of her costume and especially how all those beautiful designs pool out from under her (all the arms!). She's insanely visually striking. Might be my favourite design yet, and she's celebrating an amazing note for the campaign on top of that. Sounds like a fascinating character in terms of backstory and perspective, as well - would love to see how conversations shake out with her idea of 'her language'.~Sangmu~
Even as a child, abandoned on the monastery's doorstep, Sangmu had been...unusual. She did not often cry, seeming only to desire long stretches of contemplative solitude, and resented any disturbance, even meals. As she grew she did not play or socialize, and talked so seldom that for months the monks worried she could not speak at all. But young Sangmu knew differently - mere words were not the language of her heart.
In the summer of the year she turned ten, Sangmu first witnessed the meticulous creation of a sand mandala. From the moment she saw the intricate design taking shape, the change in her demeanor was striking. Aloofness transformed into rapt attention, her focus so intense that the monks were forced to remind her repeatedly to eat and sleep. In those days and weeks, in that place, her life changed.
Since that time, Sangmu relentlessly devoted every waking hour to perfecting the painstaking creation, and the equally beautiful destruction, of mandala and other sand sculptures. Her naturally gifted use of Iddhi and unique, unrestrained outlook quickly made her a virtuoso without peer, able to literally breathe life into her creations. Through her sand-painting tool, the chak-pur, the ephemeral artistry of the cosmos spoke to her: in the sand, Sangmu has found her language!
This is also good news for Indiegogo in a way, too. This is the largest game crowdfund ever hosted on the site, and this proves that people will, in fact, fund a game with this much money on there if asked.
I remember hearing the sentiment that since this is literally the most money anyone has asked for a game on Indiegogo that it would have tons of difficulty and probably be near-impossible to fund. Guess things are better than people assumed.
Is it possible to buy the Skullgirls DAC?
Yup!

Scroll down to the bottom, there are Humble Bundle widgets to buy the OST and DAC.
Reality is it only made it due to the extension, that doesn't necessarily mean the same line of success for other folks.
No, I understand that there are a ton of other factors. This is a game style that is relatively obscure, remember - Valkyrie Profile was not popular outside of Japan, for example.
Also, I don't think that's fair to not take the extension into account - IIRC Kickstarter doesn't let you do that, so it's kind of central to the possible appeal for certain crowdfund campaigns.
