Thats sooooo true.
For instance : I love this game like 2 Fersis! But i hate that one like 3 TToB!

now announce Fighters Megamix 2
Sega has announced on the official Virtua Fighter page that the upcoming Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown will be officially supporting Twitter, making it the first arcade game to make use of the popular service. Twitter has been extremely popular in Japan, with 16% of Japanese internet users using the service, and has recently dethroned mixi as the #1 service in the country.
By creating a Twitter account and linking it to your VF.net account (via PC or cellphone), your Twitter account will be automatically updated when you are playing. Also, if you are viewing VF.net and look up a certain player, you can automatically add them to your Twitter following list if they have a Twitter account registered and visible (of course, you can set it to invisible if you wish). Not only that, but since you can look up recent players youve encountered with VF.net already, if they have an account, you can follow them on Twitter as well.
Katagiri's blog also mentions how Twitter will be incorporated with your play in Virtua Fighter. Whenever you pull off something impressive you can have it automatically post on Twitter. Of course, if you're wary of cluttering up your Twitter feed with VF tweets, you can manage what kind of updates will be sent to Twitter. Katagiri gives these examples:
DK's Lau has just been promoted to 5th Dan at Club Sega Shinjuku West Exit #VF5FS
DK's Lau has put together a 10 game win streak at Club Sega Shinjuku #VF5FS
DK's Lau has earned the Dragon Wing item from a Basic Capsule (Rare) #VF5FS
While there's no doubt that Final Showdown is going to be a significant revamp in terms of gameplay, it's great to see Sega trying to promote more social interaction with its players, something that is sorely needed if the company wishes for the franchise to survive in the face of its competitors.
which part won't?arstal said:I'd love to see that integration into the home version.
Won't happen though.
I wish Namco would steal the side step system instead...Oichi said:Final Showdown to support Twitter in an "arcade first". Who wants to take bets on how fast Namco "implements" this into Tekken?

At least they gave me KillSwitch and Pac-ManThe Take Out Bandit said:Namco should just stop trying to copy SEGA. They've always been full of fail, and always will be.
What's DoA4? Oh, you mean Doll Fighter 4? Yeah, dolls don't count.

Spirit of Jazz said:I'm willing to bet DoA4's been the most successful 3D fighter this gen. To be honest it's been the most complete online package, had solid net-code, allowed for huge lobbies (albeit the game would take a lag hit if too many joined) and offered and fun accessible fighting system.
I don't thnk I've ever heard anyone call sf4 a 3d fighter.The Take Out Bandit said:That would be SF4.
Let's not bullshit ourselves, it's a 3D game masquerading as a 2D game. :lol :lol :lol
The whole 2.5D lie needs to be dragged out behind the shed and shot.
It's SEGA. Do you really expect them to do anything that makes sense?
hikarutilmitt said:BlazBlue and SF4 have better netcode, Super more so than SF4 (though BB is still king for online) and both BB and SSF4 have the same features for online as DOA4 and do them better.
Though, to be fair, you said 3D fighter, so the only other one of note would be VF5, and even that had better netcode, just not so many online features.

Spirit of Jazz said:*blinks* I did say 3D. Also I wouldn't say VF5 had better code, though obviously no way to prove it. I never had a janky 1-on-1 match in either game (and I played a whole lot of both) that wasn't caused by a variable outside of the net-code. Also I said solid, not the best, not implying that VF5 didn't also have a solid netcode so I don't know why you're so mad at me
arstal said:VF5 played quite well online- it had good netcode (similar to Blazblue) and the game is online-friendly due to large 10f input buffers and generous blockstun.

God's Beard said:Not enough combos and health bars? Is that PS3 Wii boxing game a fighting game then?
If they did do something that made sense, there would be a new Daytona USA game by now.The Take Out Bandit said:It's SEGA. Do you really expect them to do anything that makes sense?
