Pyro change is FUCKING NUTS. Lol. It needs to scale or Pyromancy is now Ironfleshmancy because that's all it'll be useful for.

Hey, we still don't know if Pyro scales with anything for its Magic Adjustment. So keep faith in FROM!

They're probably going to troll ya'll and have it scale with Resistance.

But in all honestly, that is way too low. I'd be hopeful if the 130 figure was just a typo, because that would essentially eliminate pyro gloves from play.

If they fixed the Chaos pyromancies that are currently supposed to scale with Humanity but don't that might help somewhat. Doubt it would be enough, but it'd be something.

I seriously don't understand. 130 is not even like, a remotely believable stat. I'm just going to wait until the patch is actually up.

Yep, beforehand the only thing that really made those non-upgradeable uniques valuable is that the better armors could typically only be upgraded with Twinkling Titanites (or Slabs).

This meant that those non-upgradeable armors had instant and great short-term value but would be outclassed in the long run, very similarly to a weapon with high base damage that doesn't scale, like the Drake Sword.

Since the process for getting Twinkling Titanites should now be much quicker and simpler, those armors have lost that advantage, and the only way to make the difference up is by buffing them. If not, they become completely trivial.

Yeah, this is probably the best course of action. I have a lot of trouble believing this and there's no point getting worked up over it without knowing the full details of the patch.

looks like medium shields got an all around nerf to stability, most of their maximum got decrease to 70ish. hahaha oh well, guess it makes heavy shields more viable now.

I read the text description for some Pyromancer spell in the game. I think the basic fire spell. It mentioned that Sorcerers look down upon it for being such a simple spell. lul

The only real issue I found with pyromancy is greater combustion does moderately high damage and you can spam it without concern for stamina.

Quite a few of the bigger, harder enemies in the game have a real problem with targetting you if you simply run straight at them until you are at point blank range. Instead of attacking they'll turn or jump back to try and get a clear shot - either way they are an open target.

GC when used with a maxed glove can spew out 500-600 damage 8 times over inside 20 seconds... Unless the target has fire immunity its dead before it has chance to do a thing, the fire effect stun-locks it.

Put it this way, on NG+ I dropped Capra Demon before he had chance to do anything, one of his dogs outlasted him :D

I will delete my 80 hour character without a second thought if it's much more balanced.

EDIT : ^ That doesn't seem like much of an improvement... Any penalty for elemental/magic weapons at all?
 
Interested to see how they have actually changed Tranquil Walk of Peace. At least with Pyromancy nerfed every PvP battle hopefully won't just be TWoP followed by Chaos Fireball until death.

Guys, +15 weapons can be buffed with resin/miracles/CMW, and there aren't two resistances to go through. This is a good change.

Good point, I didn't think of that. I just don't want everyone I encounter to be using lightning weapons.

Some of the rare weapons getting buffs is nice as well. Almost all of them were worthless before.

Seems pretty reasonable for it to be limited in quantity. Makes sense if the armor hasn't actually changed much.

If it's swamp speed then you can't roll but you do have a slight run, unlike with the previous TWOP.

I think it's gonna be limited. It would be surprising if it isn't given how easy it is to farm souls.

and lightning weapons have to overcome two defences.

This makes scalling weapons much more desirable.

Huh? My +15 Washing Pole was able to be buffed with CMW since day 1, I think. I know I used it on +14 Uchigatana, but I'm 99% sure I did it on my Washing Pole too.

Crystal Ring Shield nerf is pretty unsurprising. It was obviously a glitch to begin with, what with the way it calculated damage making upgrading the shield itself completely pointless and all.

No, you're neglecting that that's at 40 Dex (most players cap at 50 for their main stat), Str/Dex weapons aren't reduced by two resistances, and can be enchanted with resin/Magic Weapon.

These changes would merely make elemental weapons the better option for mid-game, but surpassed by stat weapons by end game. Which is really how it should be and how Demon Souls was as well.
