Just finished watching yesterday's episode. It's a shame they wrecked those cars. The Corvair in particular looked to be in good shape.

I was also disappointed they ruined a perfectly clean Corvair.

But man it was a hilarious episode, especially when Tanner rolled over and the mods. And yes, the explosion at the end was definitely staged - I saw that coming from a mile away.

See, now this is far more valid than 'they wrecked a perfectly good Jaguar XF'

The demo derby could've been cooler, but I loved the rest. That rollover was crazy. I mean, you kind of expected it after the talking up, but never REALLY expected it.

I'm still pissed about them destroying so many Jags for that movie in Top Gear, actually. But alas, that's how production companies and movie making works.

This is pretty great so far. So, which is going to happen first, Tanner getting stuck because he only has RWD, or Adam breaking his car?

Great episode. Seriously, so damn good. No Star in a Car bullshit slowing it down, and good chemistry between the guys.

Next week looks good too.

it's ok, you're all right now
Fun episode. :)

Didn't like last weeks so much because of all the obvious setups, this one wasn't so bad (though during the animal chasing scene you could see the goats in the background when they were supposedly being escorted as Adam went after the pig, but that was just an editing thing more than anything, they just made it seem like it happened at the same time).

I missed the show, thinking my DVR would catch it...but it didn't.

Guess I have to wait for midnight.

hell, my DVR caught it.......

but then refused to play it back!

bout ready to hook my DVDR back up as its prolly more reliable than the shitty boxes my low rent hand me down cable co keeps sending me.

Also liked the epi tonight, though I really couldnt help the "I forgot gas" part cried out "Staged" to me

I haven't seen a single episode of the US one, but I hope it's like the UK one with its humour and the difference places that they travel. Their trips throughout Europe were probably my favourite parts. That and the Vietnam special

I wish my trip to Vietnam was anything close to that.

OMG, the part with the old ladies was AWESOME.

"Lamborghini who?" LOL.

"Balls OUT!!!" Double LOL.

Wow. Imagine going from piloting a Rascal scooter to a Lambo... I loved how the other two ladies really went for it. And Tanner didn't have much mercy on his passenger when he was driving.

LOL, fucking awesome.

I wanted to do a gif of Tanner spinning out and the old lady patting her heart ("be still my heart") but, eh. Too large for free upload.

Yeah, it should just be them dicking around in challenges with no studio bits at all. Thats when the show is at its best really.

Another great episode in the books. But I knew that the Bentley would win the moment "golf" was a clue. And the hairpiece was a giveaway.

My one quirk with the episode is that they clearly were driving some pretty used cars. They were all a few years old, the Bentley was the last gen model, and the Lambo was the original roadster. Worst of all, the Lambo had plenty of miles on it as the jerking transmission issues were evidence to me that the e-gear clutch was absolutely toast.

I'm surprised they didn't bring up the issue with the Lambo. What it was doing is not normal for that transmission.

Good lord have I forgotten about this. It seems like just yesterday I was waiting for the first episode of season 1 to show up. Knowing it's still around I think it's time to start Tivoing some episodes.

I laughed.

A lot.

After having a terrible day, I needed to get a laugh in my system.

I watched some of the older episodes at a friends place after not following the show for about a year. Goddamn, it's gotten really good!

The first season was kinda rough and it felt like the hosts weren't comfortable with each other (obviously) but the second and 3rd seasons are gold! Pure gold! I just watched the one about the classic muscle cars and it was great! The $500 car one with the forensic analysis was awesome too. Gotta love that alligator outfit!

I especially love the chemistry that's developing between Adam, Tanner and Rutledge. They really seem like 3 guys just having fun in cars which is really all I want.

Watching this on my dvr right now, so funny.

Tanner's limo run lol. The dummy's legs sticking out of the back window lmao.

I was fucking DYING the entire episode but the dummy but there may have been tops. Probably the best episode yet..fantastic. I did of course recognize the similarities to the UK limo episode but it didn't diminish it.

Also, wow @ Stephen Moyer the speed demon! Great interview with him too.

The Zingo stuff in SF was great. I didn't know they had that service before.

The thing that show left out was that they will pick you up from your home, drive you to your destination, and bring you back at the end.

The Zingo segment was hilarious. Oh man, SanFran is full of weirdos and oddballs from everything I've been told.

The Mustang owner was fucking cool too.

That Nobel m600 looks insane. Has Top Gear UK had a go at it yet?

edit: They have, on the art episode of season 14. Going to have to track that segment down.

I caught the ending of last season and was surprised by how good it was.

Then I completely forgot about it, only to catch the finale tonight and be surprised by how good it was.
