INFO

Shadowloo Showdown 2012 is a two day fighting game event unlike any seen before in Australia. The world will be watching via LIVE stream as these warriors duke it out in major titles such as; Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition v2012 (360), Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 (360), Tekken Tag Tournament 2 (Arcade), Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike Online (360), Soul Calibur V (360), King of Fighters XIII (360), Skullgirls (360) and Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown (360).

Winning is not everything though, many gamers will be there as spectators and to be a part of history in the making. Nothing beats the excitement of watching high level action to the roars of the crowd.

Casuals on Friday start in about 14hours from this post right ?

Oh, and even though I've said it many times before, but that player line looks, as Yipes would put it, rakakelus!

Yes. I got lazy with the time zones, I might throw in an EDT conversion just for reference.

MooseKing better commentate. He's the only foreign commentator worth a damn I've heard.

SS 2011 was the best stream side from EVO. Top quality stream, commentating, show out, matches, and hype.

Stoked and a half for this.

I hope all the AE heads stay up to watch this one. It should be without a doubt the best line up for AE outside of EVO itself.

And last year SS's AE tourney was godlike.

It was like the first time I've seen Poongko play in an actual tourney, god dayum at the Machine!

I'm hoping Michael Tan can be this years Poongko. He's got the skills, but nobody has ever seen him play outside of a few matches on Japanese team tournaments. I think he has a really good chance to make this his break through performance like SS2K11 did for Poongko last year. And it could be a gateway to coming to EVO for someone like him, unlike some of the other internationals who are sponsored already.

I don't know man Michael Tan is pretty known. In fact I think Michael Tan is the favorite to win.

Skullgirls is a sponsor, and will be giving a custom stick to the winner of the tournament.

I am actually more hyped for AE than Marvel at this event although Marvel after pools into top 16 is going to be insane too. The lineup has even topped last year's line up (although it's not going to have the Mago vs Ross runback).

Oh god I hope your wrong because those times are horrible.

I basically stopped watching FGC stream because I wasted too much time on it... But for this lineup I'm in there again. Hype!

I remember catching a few bits and pieces of SS 2k11. I can't believe it's been a year already. Of course, as with last year, the times are so terrible for me that I'll barely catch any of the stream. I hope is a good tournament though.

Should be a good tournament hopefully they learn from the "big" commentry mistakes of last year.

But I bet they don't. Hopefully they keep jeavy weapons away and don't spend the whole time trying to shove annoying terms and catch-phrases down everybodies throat. Was really embarassing given the quality of everything else.

Between Shadowloo and Season Beatings, looks like no one will be sleeping this weekend but it'll be HYPE.

:/ To lazy to verify, but it seems I won't watching this tournament. Hope they put stuff on youtube quickly.
