Saw this in the Kamiya Twitter thread and thought it was too fun:
It's fun to imagine what the creator of Viewtiful Joe, Okami, Bayonetta, etc, and the upcoming Wonderful 101 could bring to Star Fox. Just imagine an Arwing corkscrewing through a hailstorm of lasers as an immense mech transforms in front of Fox... Also, I recall Kamiya said in the past that he'd love it if Nintendo held him at gunpoint and forced him to make Star Fox. And then there's Sakurai's recent visit to Platinum Games; Sakurai had the option of doing Star Fox or Kid Icarus, and chose the latter. Maybe he tipped off his P* buddies to an opportunity on Star Fox? :)
But Takamaru? Didn't see that coming. Though I guess it's not completely without precedent, given his past work: Okami was like a feudal Japan Zelda, and so was Nazo no Murasame Jo. Slinging shurikens, swinging samurai swords -- seems like there'd be some potential for action!
Anyway, just thought this was fun. :)
