I already have the Japanese GTHD, never bothered to download 1.1, so I'm not going to check out this European version. It's 689MB. (American demo is 626MB)

Formula One is 723MB. (American demo is 679MB)

Could there be different (or improved) content ?

I'm downloading a 720p (no 1080p available) trailer of Ice Age now, which is 98MB.
(about 250 KB/s download speed right now)

Tekken DR is 9.99EUR? or 19.99EUR?

Shame about the slight premium on some of those prices [Lemmings is $5.99US, which should be 4.49EUR, not 4.99EUR], still, not nearly as silly as the Virtual Console prices.

Tekken is 9.99€

Overall, I must say that the prices aren't that bad. I hope we get the same pricing here in Sweden.

Good trailer. Quite a bit of artifacts in the backgrounds, but that's to be expected considering the filesize / length of the trailer.

98MB
2'16"
1280x720
video AVC
audio AAC 128kbps

Yeah, 9.99 Euros, which right now is barely 13 bucks USD. I think it offsets some of the other stuff nicely, though I still feel things should be locked into sort of denomination-limited chunks. $5 for this game, $10 for that, $20 for another. It just feeds the impulse buy thing.

And Christ help us if something downloadable goes over $20. WarHawk, I'm looking at you...

But you compare prices that don't include tax, to the European ones that do. (18 to 25% !)
$5.99 is indeed €4.50, BUT add (for example in Belgium 21%) tax to that and it's €5.46.

That's a good price, since that's roughly $15US, while Tekken is $20US on US stores. Europe NOT getting ****ed over??!

So no PSOne downloadable games yet? Does Sony actually need to go through the same channels as Virtual Console games have had to do, liek getting them re-rated? Games like Crash haven't been re-rated in Australia, but would the original rating still stand?

Not to mention that the PSOne emulator on PSP doesn't deal with European PSOne games very well anyhow - unless an update for that is coming?

Do languages make so much difference ? Or could there be new (or improved) content in the European demos ?

GTHD EU = 689MB
GTHD US = 626MB
GTHD JP = 631MB

Formula One EU = 723MB
Formula One US = 679MB

(in other news, just noticed two Devil May Cry 4 trailers are up on the Japanese store)

Have a fun! Enjoy!
Surprised by the Tekken price.

Also, Blast Factor (4,99 Euro) comes with the MP pack included.

I wonder if Gripshit has anything new here?

BREAKING NEWS !!!

Formula One has different tracks than the American demo !!

USA: Indianapolis & Monza
Europe: Montréal & Catalunya

:)

GTHD rankings are game/country dependant. All I see is European guys here, in the version I've just downloaded from the EU store. Each nickname has a nationality flag.

Stop It

Perfectly able to grasp the inherent value of the fishing game.

Hmm, I would be tempted to try it more if we had the Hungaroring and Imola, but hey, if I find a PS3 pod anywhere I will be trying F1 regardless, still, £425 is beyond me for now, maybe a christmas 07 treat, maybe.

Catalunya's my favourite track, not getting a PS3 yet though, hopefully that demo will be in the shops.

Does this mean we should be able to sign up for a European PSN account with an EU credit card through our Japanese PS3s in Japan now?

Edit: Sorry, never mind. Just read a few posts up. Happy times :)

The PS Store doesn't work over here in Slovenia. Hopefully that's "doesn't YET work".

Anyone from a similarly backwater EU country have such problems? Or are we yet again the small sheep to be routinely raped by the large (Sony) shepherd? :D

Yes, but only after selling milk, wool and feces for several years. We save up and then feed the large Japanese corporations! Now we want to be treated as equals!

Alternatively, I could tell you that our average income is larger than that of the Portugese or the Greeks. And we can utter a thing or two in some strange foreign language, such as English, for example. But the real truth is the sheep-coloured one, of course.

Dude, Bosnia isnt even on the country selection list, while I was one of the first PS3 owners in the Europe

:lol

But I think for both slovenia and croatia, they were working on regional store to process local credit cards. I dont see why they couldnt have opened normal demo store, but oh well. You can open an UK account....

I don't see a reason why since my credit card is fine for Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Sendit.com, Ebay and Sapphic Erotica.

The problem with an UK account is that it's impossible to assign a local credit card. So basically I can download free stuff, but can't buy anything. How nice of Sony to block my money.

"Hi, I would like to purchase Tekken: Dark Resurrection now." "Sorry, sir, your Euro is not good enough for me." "But... I..." "Next please! Yes, you sir, from Kazakhstan! Your money smells like sheep too! Go away!"
