I guess I'll technically give it until the end of the year since Nintendo has some decent selling franchises coming, but I would say barring a price drop soon the game is about up in Japan for Wii U.

20K is just terrible, and frankly the Pikmin 3 sales are a bit underwhelming as well.

Even if the Wii U could have done better, it did a decent portion of the console sales last week, almost a quarter, and that's with Pikmin 3 coming out for two days within the catalogued week rather than the usual four days. Don't forget to take this into account.

This week has a holiday in it so it'll also help for the charts next week.

Turning around bad sales like this won't happen from one week to another, it's quite a long process if anything.

Too bad for Wii U. Though, I'm happy Pikmin at least has some sort of success, I don't want this franchise to die with its third iteration.

That is a very low number for Wii U. Its on the lower end what most people predicted, nobody predicted sub 20k as far as Ive seen.

I know its only tracking 2 days but still not sure it would of got to 30k.

It was also really hot to the level of heat wave in Japan last week, and it came out in a holiday weekend where people were not in the streets. Even the Pokémon Centers were fairly empty and that seldom happens.

This has an effect on sales. I'm not saying this to spin but as an explanation. You need to factor in all the factors in order to make a determination.

There were two possible gif outcomes for today; rising from coffin at a funeral or horse dying scene from Neverending story.

Today is the day I can confidently call the grim end of the WiiU.

20k is not okay off of the biggest pushed thing this year until December by any estimation. Thats another half a year of shit really until Mario.

Surely disaster on their own shores will force Nintendo's hand into supplanting US and EU Pikmin 3 releases with those regions official price-cuts because it seems quite clearly the game needs some other circumstance to push it further.
