This is coming from somebody who has had to look at plenty of versions of Tower Defence for research on a game we are making at work; You are full of it if you think this beats Bioshock or Mario Galaxy or God of War 2 or anything of the sort as Game of the Year.
It's a good timewaster whenever you're bored at work or such, and very little else. There are far better ways to challenge high scores, and far better games of tactics. Tower Defence is a game for people who like to work in games but never actually have time to play games and like to pretend that they are by heralding this above the many, many, MANY examples of AAA gaming we've had this year on all platforms.
But, this is my opinion. And I shall stick to it vehemently. Like I said it is a good timewaster.
