And I think this is the important distinction. I don't think anybody thinks Tropical Freeze is going to be a bad game. But, from a business and tactical perspective, having Retro work on another Donkey Kong game is about the most ill-thought decision Nintendo could have made. It really makes no sense outside of "Well, the other one was a decent seller...Let's spam it!"

If they revisit Metroid, I hope they go for something "Vanquish style TPS meets platformer" like what Other M wanted to be [but missed completely]. With a few good concessions, that might lead to a better Metroid experience than even the Prime games were.
