Retro making Tropical Freeze is not bad, but in a time when Wii U needs something more than "we got sequels of Wii games in HD" to get more people interested, announcing TF was probably not the best move.

At this point it would be nice if Retro was big enough to work on multiple projects at once (didn't Miyamoto say something similar?). I would love to see Retro reinvigorate franchises like DK and Metroid while another team works on original IP.

Part of me feels that really only extends as far as having part of Retro help out with Mario Kart or that DKCR 3DS port. Wouldn't surprise me if along with padding out next year's release schedule the DKCTF delay was also to get Retro to help push MK8 out the door to 'save' (it probably won't at this rate) the Wii U.
