It was more just an overall response to the people wishing Retro was specifically doing Metroid again and acting like due to M:OM bombing hard it's an unloved series, despite there being the same length of time between the last major Metroid and the last major DK game so far.

If you look at my first post in this thread you'll see I agree overall with the genre sentiments. Just sucks an otherwise great game is getting caught in the fallout.
