Personally, I would have been more excited about a new Metroid Prime, but I played the shit out of DKCR and I will out of this as well. It just feels so good walking around in Retro's environments, they're really all that and a bag of chips.

See that is the problem. Retro lost alot of its key talent because Nintendo does get pushy and say you are doing this. Retro for the longest time dreamed of its own projects.

Maybe they have forced out enough of the old Retro to get them to be content with Donkey Kong but that just means we as gamers lose.

I don't complain about more DK, but Retro has proven from time again and again that they're capable to take on much bigger and risky projects. Personally, I can't help but feel they use DKCR2 to get familiar with the Wii U architecture and are testing waters

We'll get our "big" Retro game, no reason to dismiss DKCR2 though

The problem is will anyone be left to play it? Skyward Sword was criminally underplayed because by the time it came no one gave a shit about the Wii anymore even among the nintendo faithful. Wii U wishes it could follow in the Wii footsteps instead of the path its on
