Really though I hope DKCR gets at least one more sequel after this before it returns to its slumber. I never got how three Metroid games are fine but if fucking Donkey Kong gets two it's the apocalypse.

The drought between Super Metroid and Metroid Prime was a lot longer than the one people went through between Donkey Kong games. DK64 counts imo, just as much as a Metroid on N64 would have counted.

Furthermore Nintendo doesn't need help with platformers. They need help with the kinds of games they can't make, the kinds of games Retro became known for with Prime.
