There's no big gap between the Metroid games. It was only a few years between MP3 and Other M and a couple years between each game in the Metroid Prime trilogy. So Metroid fans have had 4 console games and MP Hunters on DS in the last decade. DKC only got just 1 console game and a port to 3DS.

Just saying that Metroid fans complaining about DKC Tropical Freeze are coming off as being really impatient and I have no sympathy for you guys. DKC fans had to wait forever to get a new game. All the whining is probably all for naught as Metroid could very likely be their other game.
