Furthermore Nintendo doesn't need help with platformers. They need help with the kinds of games they can't make, the kinds of games Retro became known for with Prime.
Metroid has had plenty of releases. If you count Metroid pinball, which I do. Other M was just released like three years ago. I'm sure they'll go back to Metroid eventually. I don't see why having three DKCR games is the end of the world. DKCR was one of the best games period for the Wii. Of course they're going to make a sequel.
