I bought it a few months ago for the games lineup which is undeniably better than the one from its competitor but I am not a big fan of the hardware itself. It's kind of a love-hate relationship.
As a European who wants to play SMTIV, Region Lock is definitely the most annoying "feature" of the 3DS. Ergonomics is probably very subjective but I find the Vita to be more comfortable than the 3DS (I have the OG model).
