Tropical Freeze feels like a stopgap measure to get a game out quickly.

It all really depends on what Retro is making next. If they're making a more ambitious game next, I'm fine with Tropical Freeze. I'm probably going to buy Tropical Freeze, since I missed the first DKCR.
