Not for me it isn't. I love platformers and Nintendos one of the few companies making them these days. What platformers do we have on the Wii U - New Super Mario Bros. U, New Super Luigi U, Super Mario 3D World and Rayman Legends ? Can't think of any others offhand.

That's why I find it strange when people say they are fed up with Mario because platformers aren't exactly abundant these days. (unless they mean Mario being in many other Nintendo games as well)
