platformers had a great boom last gen and now it seems it's simmering down some again. but i'm glad the vita, wii u, and 3ds are around to keep them in the limelight. it's my favorite genre and the more's the merrier as far as i'm concerned.

i'm glad that tropical freeze is getting made now that it doesn't have the waggle, the level design is more interesting, and they even got david wise back. i'm not sure what else retro could do to make me interested in a game they're making of any franchise in any genre.
