Besides a new franchise depending on what it was (which I've repeatedly stated was what I wanted to see from Retro over another DKC), I don't think anything concerning a pre-existing Nintendo IP would be leading to big sales hit for the Wii U. At least there's a precedence for DKC.

Well in that case DKCTF is the best possible game Retro could be working on. I can't wait to see #3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8. I hope they never do anything different. Nintendo needs lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots of platformers.
