Each to their own, but I'm somewhat of the same mind as the OP. I've had a Vita for the last two years, and this summer I got a 3DS XL on a nice deal. It's mostly been collecting dust since. I know there are games which I'm sure I'd enjoy a lot if I played them - e.g. I've got Luigi's Mansion and MH3U lying around - but the whole 3DS package with the bad UI, cheap feel to the hardware, inferior controls etc just push me into instead exploring the games I think I'd enjoy a lot on the Vita (of which there are too many anyway). Maybe someday I'll get around properly to my 3DS.
