Wii U's more established presence this week (it sold 27K last week) is expected considering the usual "Nintendo bump" we see during the holiday season. Unfortunately, there are still too few figures to come to any turnaround conclusions. I am getting increasingly optimistic that the Wii U will have chiseled out a new, higher baseline, though.

That attack on titan figure is way too high considering the content of the game 6k yen for a sub 5hr game with abysmal gameplay.

I know it's the holiday, but seeing Wii U that high is bizarre.

Gran Turismo 6 did a lot better than in the UK which is great to see; oh, and I'm glad that the Attack On Titan game did good as well. Let's hope that this thing will have giant Titan legs so that the decision makers might think about a fully realized home console Titan game

It's LTD was like 300K I think. So FTS did 10% of the original's LTD in its first week. I think that's pretty good?

About 140k first week and ~300k LTD.

Nintendo franchises might have cratered all year on WiiU, but one this remains: Nintendo holiday bump is real.

Might just be DQ. Hopefully it continues and 3D World sells a nice amount. Also nice numbers for GT6. I guess PS4 and a lack of marketing hurt it in the UK.

Honestly, I'm sure Namco has been discussing and/or planning ot since Monster Hunter was announced for 3DS.

so GT6 sold 204k in 2 days, not bad.

The holiday bump should sustain for all the consoles through January, but I wouldn' be surprised if Vita and Wii U fall off sooner than later. Also GT6 sales are pretty surprising. I'm still of the train of thought Sony should have given it the next-gen treatment and released it on PS4. I can't even imagine the rise to heaven that would have created.

DQX syndrome. Is going back to 20k+ numbers next week if lucky.

Between Week 40 and Week 44 the Wii U sold 12,874 units (MC), and average of 3,219 per week.

In a single week last week it sold nearly 4 times that combined 4 weeks of sales.

Fuck you if you want to pretend this week's number was likely.

The rest of the month will be very interesting.

3DS will end year down on last year's total. I think we can say that with confidence now.

Vita TV is a mega bomba in Japan. Sony should bring it to the west.

Inazuma 11 just seems exhausted, another franchise driven into the ground by L5.

Vita will end the year as the second best selling platform. Whelp.

Wii U benefiting from Nintendo's strong holiday performance, would be interesting to see how it compares to the Gamecube in it's first real holiday season.
