I can't *believe* these lazy developers keep making file sizes so damn large. Btw, how does technology work?
I graduated last May and STILL looking for a start in my career path :-/ Means I'm still living at home in a little bedroom. I try to make do; but a lot of my stuff is in boxes, in the garage, and down in the basement.

Only thing that's changed on mine is the addition of a PC to the TV. But it's tucked behind the TV stand, so you can't really see it anyway.

So because I live by myself in San Francisco, I have very little space to work with. Save for the (small) kitchen behind me in this shot and the bathroom, this is pretty much my entire apartment in one wide lens shot.

Fy9iT.jpg

The couch doubles as a rollout bed which faces a pretty basic home theater setup with a flat screen and my Xbox. Nothing particularly exciting. Also of note, both my giant frames on each side of the apartment melted off the walls during the Summer. 3M adhesive hooks will totally do that. The giant Ikea bookshelf separates the room and serves to not only create new spaces, but also hide my candy cab when you first walk in. Yes, I have very limited room but for some reason I still brought my arcade machine with me :(

m4Gmz.jpg

And since I don't have much room I can't really fit a full-size desk anywhere, so I opted for a leaning desk from the Container Store. It does the job extremely well only it doesn't really leave room for speakers, so I make due with the monitor speakers and a pair of Astro A40's. First world problems.

COBPK.jpg

A closer look at my other gaming setup. The tokens on the machine are from a variety of places.. mainly Golfland, Arcade Infinity and Flynn's Arcade (Disneyland).

Not much about this setup will change in 2012, aside from more crap on the walls.

I am currently at home on winter break, I will upload photos of my dorm set up when I arrive back at school!

I have my Wii and my Macbook Pro up in my bedroom. The blu-ray cases are there because I used to have a small HDTV in my room, but that is up at my dorm now. The clock is my Samsung Galaxy SII. You can't see it in the picture, but I have one of those giant AR Cards on my desk.

This is my gaming PC in the basement. Just picked up BF3 and it runs beautifully, cannot wait to play it some more!

Cozy little place Jared! I live in a 650 Sqf condo myself, and you make good use of your space. Do you have to move that coffee table outta the way every time to sleep?

Yuuuup. I have the table on some furniture sliders and it's going with the grain of the hardwood so it's not that bad, but then there's also hardly any room to walk through.

Where did you get that coffee table?
I can tell you right now its a coffee table from Ikea but I just browsed through their wwebsite and I couldn't find it myself. Might be discontinued now but you their is a good chance they have it in stock in their stores.

I figured I'd post mine. It's more modest in some respects, since I'm in a 650 sq. foot apartment in the bay area.

This is pretty much my favorite thing about my place: natural light for the entire day:

Pardon the mess by the desk. I'm trying to figure out a time to give the printer to my tattoo artist.

Here's a better shot of the TV, a Samsung PN51D7000. There's a 360s, PS3 80GB, and debug 360 in the cabinet below. I could have gone bigger with the TV I guess, but at this point the 51 inch seems biggish for the room and I can't wall mount with my lease.

Once I got the plasma, I moved the old LG 42LD450 to my desk with the Dell LCD. I've got my PS3 debug on my desk for capture purposes.

I'm still trying to figure out a good way to handle the area in the corner as a painting space. I'm also trying to figure out a decent standing-desk solution for the keyboard and mouse.

The Xbox 360 and Wii shouldn't be located here. I have to install shelfs for them. The flat screen, currently 37" in size, will be upgraded to something bigger during the year.

A complete work in progress here since I have yet to pass the network cables inside the wall and the desk needs to be changed (the drawer falls down everytime I open it).

Most of my diecast collection (some are still boxed). It's a mix of Bburago, Maisto and AutoArt 1:18 models.

Left: PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, PSP and DS games.
Center: PS2, Xbox, GameCube, GBA, SNES, N64 and NES games.
Right: Bluray and DVD movies.

Really nice use of space. Despite the low square footage, that looks roomy. Nice, calming and relaxing.

I love this thread. I will be able to finally contribute next week.

Glad to see the 2012 thread starting early so thanks guys, you've given my ideas for my house DIY when I've signed everything in January and then it be in my name and good to go. Any tips or advice to house owners already here for me to think about when I plan to do all the DIY (all rooms are having new flooring, wallpaper; it's a whole cosmetic overhaul) and then do the game set-up after?

Thank you. I do try my best and it's not always easy with such a narrow room. Looking forward for when I have my apartment and have a bit more space to decorate. :D

Thanks Buttons because funny enough your whole room has heavily inspired for what design ideas I've got in my mind for the living room! :p

Actually now that you mentioned the site I remembered Unpluggd/Apartment Therapy featured my previous gaming setup in Shoreditch a while back:

Didn't want to post the pics here since they are not 2012 but there is a bunch behind the link.

The new place is quite different but this should give an idea of the vibe I like while I wait for some new furniture for new 2012 pics

I'm jealous of how clean some of your rooms are. I don't think I've cleaned my room in oh about 8 months.

I wanna post some photos of my new setup including my Supergun/Cave setup, new speakers, eames chair, headphones/DAC etc but as you say..these places look so clean and any photo i take now will just make everything look dirty no matter how much i clean it :/

Love that site. I have actually come to appreciate Atomic Ranch magazine.

I am into 40's-50's design so it definitely accommodates.

What is that room with the one chair in it for?

I want an apartment as nice as this when I move to SF in a couple of months. How much does it run you if you don't mind me asking?

Uhh... no amount of dirt would keep that from being completely rad. We need more superguns up in here.
