I just bought the Monkey Island pack, but it's really hard to have him walk by using the Mac's track pad. Anyone have any tips?

Does anyone want to join in on a L4D2 4-pack? I will set it up if I get 3 people to join in.

I'm interested.

I'd also be interested in getting into a Bioshock 2 4-pack, if there's one floating around.

$4.99 - SpaceForce2 Rogue Universe
$5.10 - Lead and Gold: Gangs of the Wild West
$12.50 - Resident Evil 5
$6.79 - The Witcher: Enhanced Edition
$7.49 - King's Bounty: Armored Princess
$3.99 - Geometry Wars
-----------------------------------------------------------

$40.86

Not too shabby. Probably will pick up RF:G before it's all said and done. Still have one extra Bioshock that I'll trade for a $5 game.

Well, I came out okay from all of this.

~ Bioshock 2
~ Rise of the Argonauts
~ Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising
~ Ghostbusters

All told I believe my total was somewhere around $43.00, it could have been a lot worse. I spent less this time around, partially, due to the fact that I already owned most of the games that had huge price drops. I really was hoping for a FEAR/FEAR 2 drop, but since I didn't get it I ended up saving some cash I guess ;)

Of all the games currently on sale, Just Cause 2 is really the only game that I don't own that I think I'd like to pick up some day, but really I'd prefer to play it on the 360 anyway.

Perfectly.
Second this, played through 1 with no problems (aside from no 1600x1050 resolution) and 2 has been perfect so far as well.

UO occasionally had some weird frame rate issues, but nothing big.

Contemplating the Call of Duty pack, just wondering how CoD 1 & 2 runs on Windows 7 64-bit. Anyone?
Well I fired up CoD1 and it didn't work. Some C++ buffer overrun error. WTF? I better be able to get it to work since that is the one I want most. CoD2 worked fine.

Ack. Apparently the latest ATI drivers are fail. I'll need to roll back to older drivers to get it to work. But at least it looks like I'll be able to get it to work.
all ati radeon series cards have this problem with last catalyst 10.5/10.6, so if you revert to 10.3 or 10.4 you can play this game.

I managed to make COD 1 and COD UO to work by doing the following:
- uninstalled 10.6 ati drivers, rebooted
- installed 10.3 ati drivers (old ones with WDM)
- Right clicked on the game *.exe(s) (codsp.exe codmp.exe CoDUOMP.exe and coduosp.exe) and enabled the "run as administrator" thing (there was no need to use compatibility mode)
(path = steamapps/common/call of duty folder)

Is anyone else having problems playing Borderlands online? My friend bought the game so we could play together but we can't join each others games.

I'm thinking of getting Heroes of Might and Magic 5 and the expansions tonight before the sale is up but I had a few questions....

Mostly, I tried the demo of King's Bounty the Legend and loved it and as such bought it for 3.74 in this sale, is HoMM5 also worth the $7 or so? Also I see the expansions (stand-alones?) are also around $7 each and the whole pack with HoMM5 base + 2 others is about $20....worth it?

My first Steam sale and proud to say I didn't spend a whole lot. That could easily be attributed to the fact that I only have a Mac so didn't have a large selection of stuff.
The stuff I did get was is below.
Civ4 Collection 9.99
Eve Online 1.99
Half Life 2 3.39
Episode 1 2.71
Episode 2 2.71
Total 20.79
I almost passed on Eve but for $2 I decided to give it a try and immediately after starting the game I realized it was not for me. I picked up Half Life 2 because I never beat it on the PS3 and thought I could play it on my Mac and maybe get some good mods.

If you are considering Time Gentlemen, you should get Ben there Dan That. Great game. Really enjoying it and I don't even play adventure games.

I haven't played this one enough, but the prequel, Ben There Dan That is included, and it's damn excellent. If the sequel is even half as brilliant, it's worth the cost.

Technically you can get BTDT for free off the developer's website, maybe do that first and see if you like it.

I still can't play Borderlands online. I have been trying top play online for an hour already. I can join public games, but I can't make a public or private game with my friend. I tried forwarding my ports but that didn't work. is anyone else having problems with Borderlands?

The Witcher: Enhanced Edition
Left 4 Dead
Left 4 Dead 2

Here's hoping I can last the next few hours...

Is Riddick worth it? The game looks interesting but I'm not sure about the DRM.

Amazing games that are very underrated, but if any game has DRM skip them, and go for the 360 version that comes with the updated old one plus the new one.
