I just came here to do what many others have already done and vent about the stupidity of not putting this on the Switch. Having played a number of Mario Parties, this would have been the perfect couch multiplayer game for my wife and I. A mix of nostalgia and fun antics. Even my parents would have thoroughly enjoyed it when we visit. The decision to not put this on the Switch is stupid, baffling, and just pisses me off. I'd say "Nintendo gonna Nintendo", but it shouldn't have to be like that.

Would have been cool to have boards from various MP games. Like a true Mario Party All-Stars sort of feel to it.
$40 for a mini game collection might be a bit steep though. I'll have to see the full list of mini games before I decide.

Those were the days, lol.
I rather they put all minigames from 2 and 3 tbh. The quality dwindled heavily after that.

Yeah, there's some real gems in the new games as well.
This game better have some cool features like tons of playable characters or an entire N64 graphics mode to make up for lack of boards. That last one is the most massive pipe-dream I could have.
So this really is a boxed release. Surely there are more than just minigames, right?
According to the Mario Wiki, Mario Party 7 has 88 minigames...

Most minigame collections don't have board game components.
If this has more minigames than usually on 3DS they decided to remove the board games and sell probably at $30.

Only MP2 is on the (Wii and Wii U) VC. MP1, MP3, MP4, MP5, MP6, MP7, MP8, MP9 and MP10 are not.

The game probably won't be great value for money but I've always really liked Mario Party mini games, they at least have my attention, price will be important.
Mario Party DS is also on the Wii U eShop, (and Mario Party 8, I think?). Obviously MP10 is there as well.

Don't know about MP8 but I have no idea what they were thinking when putting games like Mario Kart DS and Mario Party DS onto the Wii U VC and making them single player only.
Ah fair enough, feels like a lost opportunity not to include maps on this though, and putting it on Switch for that matter.

Huh, from the website: "Speed things up with simple minigame instructions and a Favorites options for quick selection. You can even set the number of turns for board-game play!"
That last sentence is suspect. I can't imagine it means traditional game board play though or else I don't see why they wouldn't have revealed that now. Probably some neutered board game feature everyone will complain about like a take on the minigame stadium mode from MP1.

Didn't notice that, makes me think there is atleast something more here than what I expected.

I absolutely adore Mario Party's minigames, so this has me super excited. I'm also one of the few that didn't get their 3DS magically destroyed once the Switch released, so I may be in the minority on this one.
Hopefully it's $30, but i'd suck it up and buy it at $40 if I had to.

I an genuinely surprised with the 3ds announcements today. Love my OG XL and my N3DS ( Even though I've played it maybe 10 times ugh ).

Mario Party 3 Eatsa Pizza is on there. This compilation checks out. Though actually the no board thing ruins it, if that is the case.

And every mario party game has the option to play just continuous minigames, despite the presence of boards for those who like them. More options is always preferable.

Ugh, Honeycomb Havoc!? That's the worst mini-game in 2! Why would they pick that? -_-
Hoping Hot Rope Jump still makes it. And Bowser's Big Blast (even though the cake one from... 4 or 5 is similar)
