Some awesome stuff, and also some totally fucking awful stuff. I'm way more jazzed for Rock Band 2's list (but then again, I'm not the biggest fan of GH nowadays), but I can't lie - the idea of being able to play The Wind Cries Mary, Paradise City, and Heaven and Hell has got me pretty stoked. It's a shame about Hendrix being exclusive, though. :(

Oh, and why the hell are they bringing back boss battles?

Already been discussed for a long time in the Rockband thread. Odds are its partially true(since some songs are already know), but some fakes in there as well(PINK FLOYD)

Some of those songs are amazing. I'm not going to bring the inevitable RB2 comparisions in, but let's just say I'm real happy that the RB instruments are compatible with GH4.

Oh, and MOAR Muse plz.

So that's why nothing showed up in the search. Oh well. :(

Thats a good point, and it should probably be Eddy Van Halen instead.

Overall i really like the track list. Wish it was November Rain or Estranged as the GNR song though.

What the hell. How is "Brothers of Metal" still not in Rock Band/Guitar Hero? It's epic-ness and bitchin' power chords cannot be contained in a single game, apparently.

Oh well, Tornado of Souls alone makes this list awesome.

Holy crap, what an awesome list. I was going to hold out for GH: Metallica, but I may have to get this. :O

Schism
Life in the Fast Lane
Don't Fear the Reaper
Toxicity
Crazy Train
Dragula
Tornado of Souls
Master of Puppets
Comfortably Numb
96 Quite Bitter Beings
Fury of the Storm
Enjoy the Silence (it's a remake, but the remake's AWESOME)

etc. etc.

So much awesomeness all on one list! :O

When will one of the music games finally have a Lordi track? (Besides Singstar, of all things)

Nice set otherwise. Jumping Jack Flash is one I'd love to play, and more Muse is always good. Hopefully this turns out to be true. And hopefully the PS3 version will also work with Rock Band instruments.

Very good question.

I dunno, there's some great stuff on this list (Beat It and Jumping Jack Flash FUCK YEAH!), but there's some stuff that I can't fucking fathom WHY it's in here. Of all the Weezer songs, you chose fucking Dope Nose? To make up for The Metal in GH3 you chose Car Chase City? The big encore song for the Police is Every Breath You Take? And cribbing songs from Rock Band 1? Come on.

It makes me think they decided to basically choose the most popular songs from some of these bands instead of the ones that would actually be the most fun to play, which is something that Harmonix has always tried to strike a good balance with. A good deal of the list just comes off as taking the easy way out.

I have no doubt that Harmonix's charts will be better, but damn if "Beat It" isn't tempting.

:lol :lol :lol

Are you kidding? Is this a joke? Am I falling into the Sarchasm? Neversoft's charts make Harmonix's look like absolute trash.

That is such an awesome song. I remember hearing it years ago in Jackass and I've loved it since.
I first heard it in THPS3. :lol

I learned it on the guitar shortly thereafter. It was so fun to play way back then.

Beat It will be greatest rhythm game song ever. Looks like I'll buy the RB2 hardware and game then GH:WT on a disc.

"I Don't wanna Miss a Thing" by Aerosmith

Fuckers. Way to stiff GH:Aerosmith buyers.

Overall some great and some shit. I think they have spread the net too wide, trying to please everyone. Songs from RB1 are particularly annoying.

Also, only three female singers?

I want to see "If I Were a Killer" by the Galactic Cowboys. It is enough to make one snap one's own neck off with the thrashing and the banging.

You're delusional if you think GH3 has better charts than GH2.

I thought they were doing people a favor by leaving it out of Aerosmith.

I saw this on Something Awful as well and while I'm kind of skeptical about it, nothing is completely out of the ordinary other than Pink Floyd. Either way, Angel of Death = yesssssssssssssssssssssss.

That list is incredible...almost too incredible. Lots of classic rock, less modern rock horseshit. Even though some of the new stuff is actually pretty good. And Pink Floyd!!!

The Innocent X said:
Well, this particular song maybe, but you now they held some of the other songs back for DLC too.

The Aerosmith version of Guitar Hero won't have DLC, iirc.
