Thinking about adopting a Greyhound


My girlfriend and I are moving into a new house with lots of space. We already have one dog and one cat, but they are both her's. My only pet is my little corn snake. I've been thinking about getting a bus with the bigger space, and after doing some research a Greyhound seems like a really good choice in terms of temperament and what I'm looking for in a bus. There's also plenty of them in need of good permanent homes and I'd like to think I can help one out.

I filled out an application for information form from my state's Greyhound adoption agency, but while I'm waiting for them to get back to me I thought I'd ask if anyone on GAF had any experience with this process or with Greyhounds in general. Any advice would be welcome.
