Dailies for Ashe, that's about it. All I want and need from here. What blows is that I'll have to take all my L&A from TT and give them to Ashe. I have more than enough mage gear to get them both to 900+ mag I think though.

Dailies only for dat Ashe too. Got a somewhat solid team and don't see too much room for her actually (less for two).

Last page hype.

Daily Galuf.

It's going to be that kind of day, huh FFBE?

Excited for the banner tomorrow. I had a ton saved up for FFX but got everything off of tickets, so I'm dumping to get an Ashe and hopefully that judge.

First Ultima +2 done. This was extremely costly and now I need 12 more Gyancrysts for the next one >.>

5 away from double Ultima +2 myself. I haven't upgraded either of them at all yet though. If Mog King has 3 then I will refill like a madman until I get the last two from the vortex. I wanna see what 4 enhanced Ultima's looks like against an arena team.

Someone did a Fixed Dice Double Hand Tidus build. Beware, maths:

Hello there,

Second time that I post here, first time was for a fan art.
I hope that this post will help most of you.

So, what if I told you there is a BiS Tidus, without enhancement, that use Fixed Dice (as some of you hate RNGesus, I won't say that it's BiS, so I name it near BiS)?

I’m not kidding.
I made some maths and saw that even if I loose a turn with Jecht Shot (without Chain, it’s like a lost turn) in order to get the water element on Tidus, I do really similar damages over 5 turns than a « BiS » Tidus with Save The Queen, Brotherhood and Genji Glove.

(One these BiS builds, I didn’t put limited time stuff like D. Rain TM)

So, here are the builds :

Fixed Dice here :

Tidus 6 Star
FFBEDB Unit Calculator
Right Hand: Fixed Dice +1ATK +1.2x-6.5x PD Multiplier
Head: Black Cowl +28ATK+25DEF+25SPR+100%Sleep

Genji Glove one here :

Tidus 6 Star

Total Stats: HP: 6008 MP: 320 ATK: 966 DEF: 279 MAG: 186 SPR: 201
So, yes. I know, the attack is squared in damage formula, so, 966 - 112|135 = 854|831. Like 25% ATT more for each weapon than Fixed Dice one. Squared, it’s like 56% damage more.

However, Fixed Dice damages, averaged give you 285% more damage (3,85x).

Not convinced ?
Well, let’s do a simulation.

Best scenario for double Tidus with Fixed Dice is this one :
T1 : Jecht Shot,
T2 : Blitz Ace (LB),
T3 to T5 : Quick Hit. Then repeat again.

For double Tidus with Genji Build, it’s :
T1 : Blitz Ace,
T2 to T5 : Quick Hit. Repeat again.
Don’t forget that Fixed Dice take full profit of Blitz Ace damages unlike DW builds...

Let’s do some calculation :

We will start with the easy calculation -> Jecht Shot.

Tidus 1 : 100% x 400% = 400%
Tidus 2 : 110% (chain, no water element yet on the weapon) x 400% = 440%
Blitz Ace, among its 16 hits, seems to have 14 that chains and break, then break again.

So, that’s like 410% for the first one (and 820% for the second Tidus thanks to the imperil).

Tidus 1 : (100% + 160% + 220% + 280% + 340% + 400% x 9 + 100% + 100%) / 16 = 306,25%
Tidus 2 : (130% + 190% + 250% + 310% + 370% + 400% x 9 + 130% + 130%) / 16 x2 = 638,75% (x2 cause the water debuff is up)
So, with imperil and LB modifier, it’s :
Tidus 1 : 306,25% x 410% = 1255,625%
Tidus 2 : 319,375% x 410% x 2 = 2618,875%

Now, it’s time to do Quick Hit.

We will see admit that DW can perfect chain easily.

Fixed Dice or for the first weapon on DW (as the second wave has a x4 chain bonus) :
Tidus 1 : (100% + 160% + 220% + 280% + 340% + 400% x 7) / 12 = 325%
Tidus 2 : (130% + 190% + 250% + 310% + 370% + 400% x 7) / 12 = 337,5%

So, with that average damages, we can calculate some effective modifier :
Tidus 1 : 325% x 400% x 2 = 2600%
Tidus 2 : 337,5% x 400% x 2 = 2700%

For the first strike of DW, as spark is mandatory (need to know if elementary spark is +50% or +70%) :
Tidus 1 : (100% + 200% + 300% + 400% x 9) / 12 = 350%
Tidus 2 : (150% + 250% + 350% + 400% x 9) / 12 = 362,5%

Here again, with that average damages, we can calculate some effective modifier :
Tidus 1 : 350% x 400% x 2 = 2800%
Tidus 2 : 362,5% x 400% x 2 = 2900%
The second weapon has 3200% (400% x 400% x 2).

Now, we have for Fixed Dice :
T1 : 840%,
T2 : 3874,5%,
T3 to T5 : 5300%

(840% + 3874,5% + 5300% x 3) x 3,85 x ATK^2 = 20614,5% x 3,85 x ATK^2 = 79365,825% x ATK^2

DMG = 79365,825% x 675^2 = 361 610 540 (against an enemy with only 1 on DEF of course, and that's over 5 turns)

With DW :
T1 : 3874,5% of the first weapon,
T2 to T5 : 5300% of the first weapon again and 6400% of the second one.
(3874,5% + 5700% x 4) x ATK1^2 + 6400% x 4 x ATK2^2 = 26674,5% x ATK1^2 + 25600% x ATK2^2

DMG = 25074,5% x 831^2 + 25600% x 854^2 = 370 908 589 over 5 turns
Now, let's compare turn by turn damage difference (cumulated) :

Turns Fixed Dice Dual Wield Diff
Turn 1 14 734 912 26 755 785 +82%
Turn 2 82 699 695 112 793 986 +36%
Turn 3 175 669 976 198 832 187 +13%
Turn 4 268 640 257 284 870 388 +6%
Turn 5 361 610 538 370 908 589 +2,5%
I know, Fixed Dice is still a bit worse, but just for 2,5% (and if you luckily spark chain, Fixed Dice will do more damage).
However, if that’s the way to do easy chain without macro, I’m okay with that.

Pro of this build :

It allows Tidus to reach 70% evasion!
4 to 5 frames of forgiveness for perfect chain versus 0. Even if you're late of 9/10 frames, you won't loose too much damage.
You can spam LB's for MP management, you won't loose that much damage (once debuff hit, each turn, it's like 5130,125% for LB vs. 5300% for Quick Hit).
You can do better damages than DW build if you spark chain.
The cons :

Too much RNG, so you could have a blowing 6,5x variance on Jecht Shot and 1,2x on Quick Hit. On long fight, it should averages to 3,85x.
The goal is to not rely on spark chain, so it's 2,5% less damage over 5 turns.
The fight has to last at least 4 turns if you don't want to loose too much damage (and that's only with an averaged RNG)
More players have to know this build in order to not kick you from their FL as your Tidus seems to be weak.
Tidus dies, he have to do Jecht Shot again. That's one more lost turn.
By the way, if you look at the percentage, you can see that damage modifier from weapon 1 to weapon 2 are really near while Dual Wielding. So if you can't do perfect chain, put your best weapon on your right hand. You won't loose that much damage if you achieve a perfect chain.

Thanks for your attention.
And sorry, english is not my native tongue... I tried my best to be as straightforward as possible.

Edit : I realised that DW needed spark chain in order to do the perfect chain. That change a bit the calculation. So, in the case you spark chain DW and not FD, DW is better damage wise while difficult to achieve macro. However, if you can spark chain FD too, this build is better.

Edit 2 : I'm still farming Brave Suit, I'm missing this part for this build, but you can add me if you wanna try the build with an another Fixed Dice Tidus (ID : 800,808,329, IGN : Charles).

GAF, who should I develop first, Setzer or Amelia?

As a chainer I only have Aileen.

Also, will she chain well with future Agrias 6*??

Any ideas what killer type the cactuars will be weak to in the upcoming raid or is he entirely new?

Trying to get some done, just got spirit killer and find out there's another right on it's heels lol
