Kind of makes me wish that Medal of Honor had been the success EA were hoping it would be so the Battlefield series could continue being what it wanted to.

So it's safe to say that we will see SP gameplay right?

If this is true then I could care less about even seeing the trailer.

I guess if anything it will give us an idea of what the engine is capable of, outside of that I couldn't care less about a campaign in a Battlefield game.

Hopes of a non-Call of Duty-centric-Battlfield game fading quickly...

"EA have made a bold step to bring in Call of Duty players. How? By inviting known, million+ YouTube subscribed Call of Duty commentators to the event in favour of some of the most hardcore Battlefield'ers. A necessary and somewhat sly tactic to bring in the competition's audience. EA know that if they go all out on these famous CoD YouTubers, that the current #1 best selling FPS game will surely hand over some of their fan base.

It makes me, personally, sick. Nothing against the incredibly YouTube famous CoD commentators going to this event, you obviously prefer Call of Duty and that's ok don't get me wrong, but in your place could be someone much, much more deserving. Someone who won't play the game a few times then throw it down when your temporary promotional job is done. Right? Someone who actually loves the Battlefield games and plays them out of choice.

What's more of a hit to the people not invited is that the CoD commentators will supposedly get exclusive Battlefield 4 gameplay to put on their YouTube channels, which comes with a "premium" CPM on all ads. Now if these rumours are anything to go by, that sucks."

sounds like EA alright.

I have the feeling the trailer will consist of rainy night footage with next gen bokeh effect

The "premium CPM" stuff for YouTube ads HAS to be bullshit.

Oh god the double sights thing that MW3 did.

Do special forces actually do that in real life?

Even I have backup sights on my rifle, it's common in LE, and it's very common for soldiers with the common sense to realize that their life is worth a lot, and in the case that your main targeting device is damaged you need a back up.

It may not be "used" in the game, but rather an added detail effect for realism/gunporn.

I have a good gaming PC, I'm sure that I can still achieve 60fps with my current rig and way better visuals.

Come one guys, do you really see a 3+ years improvement over BF3?

I agree with you here. Everything from those shots look like they could have came from BF3's single player.

I'm assuming improvements will be seen in destruction, weather, etc... Graphically, looks the same as BF3, which is a little disappointing. But there are only 3 shots to base this off of.

Ok, that's all good then. If it's a realistic inclusion then I'm fine with it. Thought it was just a bit of fantasy nonsense.

Yeah, most likely a SP-centric reveal.

I can't say I was expecting more, but it's still a bit disheartening considering it's Battlefield.

First rumors were 1080p@60fps from chinese forum if im not mistaken.

The Chinese rumour just mentioned 60fps, I believe.

No, the November rumor mentioned 720p 60fps. The other week, a user on a Chinese forum basically made a "wish list", based on the original rumor, and 1080p 60fps was one of them. He admitted to it being made up, though.

EA has publicly stated, however, that 1080p 60fps is a goal for their games/next-gen, but not specifically BF4.

That is the one I was on about.
