It actually was a serious question. It received good but not amazing scores (The earlier games) but this game is receiving a massive amount of hype here, and me even asking about the game seems to cause strong emotions. What's special about it?

The original game was way better than Red and Blue at the time. I've been waiting for a sequel for half a decade, regardless of what platform it's on.
That said, I don't think you could call the GAF hype for it "massive."
