If it was proving problematic to have lag free games with such a fast paced game, hopefully they go the Mario Strikers route...

that's limited to ranked games on your continent unless you add someone (from say America or Japan) to your friends list. And it tells you the quality of the connection before you start playing.

I agree with you, that would work well, but you can't even play japanese og american players if you have their FC. It says the FC isn't real, or something.

Good, if true. Although, to be fair, it SHOULD be in there. (I thought online was the reason Sakurai even saw fit to make this one in the first place?) If Nintendo were to make a big deal out of this announcement, it would be a bit like expecting applause back at E3 for the Galaxy and Brawl release dates. :lol
