Beta has been really fun. A bigger rotation of match types would have been fun but tis a beta after all

Great OT!!

I'm still so undecided about this game. When the servers are working it's great but when they're not, it's almost unusable. Add to that the constant team killing by some people and the lack of mic's when playing with randoms, I'm not sure the games going to have the legs here in Australia.

Otoh, when teamed up with other objective minded players who actually talk, the game is fantastic and tense and the fact there is nothing else like it on consoles makes it hard to pass up.

Nice job on the OT.

ill buy this for Terrorist Hunt, but im in wait and see mode to see if they can fix the matchmaking and random disconnection issues before I jump in

Are there any reviews up? I'm wondering how many maps and modes there are in the final game. Anyone know perhaps?

Definitely getting this though. Matchmaking can be frustrating af but no-respawn and the team-oriented gameplay has me by the balls.

No reviews yet. Not sure when embargo is.

There's 11 maps, 3 multiplayer modes, 4 Terrorist Hunt modes. Also 11 "scenarios" which are just special terrorist hunt scenarios on each map.

When I got my new 970 a few weeks ago I had the option to choose between this game and AC: Syndicate. At the time I didn't know there was no proper singleplayer... I'm so glad I decided to go with Syndicate, even if it's not that much of an awesome game.

looks like an idiot

"Twitch". Fitting.

Umpteen god damned Yanks, Limeys, Krauts, and Russians... not one bloody Aussie operator.

God damned outrage... Tom Clany's rolling in his damn grave.

Great OT.

Correction to fps though. It's 60 across the board on PC. Hardware permitting.

edit: See it say's coop. Thought it said T-Hunt. Disregard.
-----------------------------------------

I put a solid 20 hours across the two betas I played and spent quite a bit of time last night with a fellow GAF playing nothing but T-Hunt. Game is a blast. Though, I'd wager, if you can't play with buddies, it's not nearly as fun.

I'll wait till release though to see how the unlocks and everything pans out before I purchase it. I love love love the destructibility.

You and your friends can collaborate and draw arrows and shit.

One man of color, three women, sixteen white men. There's a lot of reasons to be disappointed by the cast, frankly. I wish it were more diverse. And the thing is, Ubisoft totally could've gone down the diverse route, because this is a piece of fiction. There's no reason for it to be a sausage fest, and yet it is. At least the women are wearing practical gear.

All complaints aside, I had a fantastic time with the beta. It's just that I'm not really confident that the servers will be able to support everyone from day one. That, and the apparently small pool of content with a $60 price tag.

Oh, and the lousy networking. Can't forget how many times lag comp and the low tickrate cheated me.

On the bright side, the season pass doesn't fragment the community. So if I buy the game, I won't feel like that's mandatory. Good move, Ubisoft.

This is very much my type of fps. Hopefully enough friends will buy it to hold a team every night.
I'd like to game with UK GAF also, but I don't usually play until around 10pm GMT so I guess I limit the scope of uk people to game with.(family life is hugely rewarding but time consuming)
Anyone who games later in the evening until about 0.30 am,feel free to drop me a pm.

That Idris Elba commercial is fucking GREAT actually really great representation of the game. Imma have to wait on this one til we know about server stability and populations though.

Today was smooth as butter except for a server reset earlier on ps4. The game is so good that I decided to still buy it day 1 with hopes of a decent first week.

Waiting for the reviews on this one, but I really, REALLY want it to be great.

Haven't had time to try the beta, and generally don't like playing unfinished products anyway.

Crossing my fingers. Even if the reviews say the core mechanics are great and it's just light on content, I might pick it up anyway.

Two of my favorite shooters this generation - TitanFall and Halo 5 - have been light on content (I have issues with the latter, but lack of content isn't what's hurting my enjoyment of H5 thus far).

After playing the beta I decided to get it day one. Came close to canceling my preorder due to server issues (Its still going to have some day one, count on it) , but its so damn fun to play with friends. Its like a mix of Counter Strike and SOCOM, love it.

Oh god... please be surprisingly good...
I loved T-hunt on realistic in the closed beta but there was sooo much work to do...

I have a bad feeling about this. I hope i'm wrong.

I know what blitzkrieg was and how was used by Guderian just reading achtung panzer. What I don't get is what the fuck the word lightning have to do with pearl harbour.

Associating the London Blitz with Pearl Harbor attacks.

If my correct, Blitz ability is its flashing shield so they probably know it means "lightning"

Probably not. Their dialogue seems to imply they're drawing a comparison between the London Blitz and Pearl Harbor, rather than the word "blitz".

As a quick aside, "blitz" can also mean "flash", and the "lightning" it refers to is more of a "flash of lightning". So you're on-point.

I enjoyed the beta and it seems you did, too. I'm not expecting extremely high review scores but I'm expecting better than what some people are expecting. Solid 7-8s with a few 9s. Technical issues will probably be the main thing but I hope those are few and far between.

Also I hope nobody is expecting a huge population for this game. It's not going to happen which will also probably be a good thing. I can see this game instantly weeding people out because of the huge difference between it and CoD/Battlefield.

The beta was tons of fun, though. I could see this having decent legs and making great videos. The destructible environments are so good, too. In the last beta, we were in that room with all the windows around it and set up perfect defenses with shields and that machine gun mount but two teammates got killed because they got shot through the floor. You can't get that tense/confused feeling from a lot of games.

This game is 30 Dollars?

Either way I think id pay 60 since future content is free. Show me how it's done.

Game is a breathe of fresh air. People need to buy this game. Hope the beta issues can be orbited out. Best mp shooter of the year

Random observation but the pre-load in Uplay was only 15 gigabytes. Minimum specs say 30GB hard drive space, while recommended is 47GB.

Maybe they adjusted those numbers to include all future DLC (and all languages). Still though, huge differences between minimum, recommended and reality as of today. And usually there's no difference between minimum and recommended.
