True, and as other have said Mueller and Comey are close, so presumably he got the OK from Mueller before agreeing to it.

I certainly hope it happens. Should make for great entertainment.

Ok not to rain on the parade: how does this work? Isnt he going to not be able to answer a lot of questions as they would be tied to an on going investigation? Or does that not matter as he was fired, even though the matters that would be discussed would fall under the ongoing case?

I was concerned Mueller doing his thing would clam up leaks to the press.

But today ALONE we have
- leaked rod Rosenstein cover my ass memo
- Israelis were yelling at us officials "what is this?"
- White House staff don't even resist NYT account of Oval Office meeting where trurmp says nut-job
- kushner person of interest in Russia probe
- White House staff said to be researching impeachment proceedings (hey google what is impeachment?)
- White House staff looking for legal move that would ban Mueller from looking at Kushner and ivanka.

Stooge republicans will just ask dumb deflecting/unrelated questions again, as they do in each of these hearings.

Still must-watch TV, but I am a bit concerned Comey might make a small mistake or something in his statements that will allow the republicans to try and jump all over it and push the perspective that he is not reliable in his accounts. That's what the republicans will be probing for most likely. Aside from bringing up stupid shit like Hillary's emails.
