MHP2G seems to do about the same as MHP2 on opening week. Good for the PSP.

I wonder if there will be a surge or if we can safely assume that the people bying 2G are people who own 2 already.

whoa. that monster hunter opening was huge.

also, looks like ssbb is past ssbm now(would be good if someone could confirm it)
i wonder how long until it passes ssb64.

i also see some of the usual suspects there...

Ahaha, I wish I could post this MH ad I have, but no scans :(

I don't think the no scans rule applies to adverts, just editorial content from magazines.

However, I would check with a mod first. Don't get banned on account of me giving you incorrect information.

I'm gonna guess (if it has the legs of Wii Sports or Mario Kart DS), that it does it sometime around November or December.

Does anyone have any impressions of the Gundam 00 game? Last I saw, the GAF thread had something like 5 posts, 4 of which by the op.

Brawl?

Famitsu has it at 1.55M, and I think the original is less than a 100K more than that. Should do it in 3-4 weeks.

Didn't know they made a Code Geass game. I wonder when it'll come to the states...

Anyone know? I know the series hasn't been licensed yet...

The Magic Box has it at 1.97m, which is what I was going off of.

It starts on Adult Swim on the 26th iirc.

Wow that high? Well if that's the real number, then yeah I'd agree with the time frame you said.

I wonder if ds game budgets allow for a game selling 50,000 to be a success.

ds carts cost 5-10 dollars to manufacture, depending on size of the rom and amount of backup flash ram. if they sell at retail for about 30 bucks, then you could roughly guess the publisher is making 10-15 bucks per cart. so if the budget is half a mil or less, 50,000 units would at least break even.

There's a DS shin chan game? Cool.

I hear the show is like 1000000x different than the adult swim version because of cultural jokes.

I wonder if Monster Hunter will display the legs of the previous titles. Even if it doesn't it wouldn't matter since those sales are HUGE! It almost seems like the PSP is slowly improving on the software front.. it has 5 titles in the top 30. Was it always like that? I thought I remember it only having 1 or 2 in the top 30 for a while there.

Wiifit is showing the same legs that Wiisports had/has and should keep selling for ages. Brawl is holding on well too. That is a great pair of games to satisfy both audiences Nintendo is aiming for (with some crossover hopefully)

I don't think this would be the type of game that sells in the states.

Aside from Mario Party, is Deca Sports the highest selling Hudson game this (or last) gen? It's having some pretty great legs.

Game looks pretty nice.
