The fate of the clone sisterhood will be revealed when the Final Trip begins Saturday, June 10th at 10/9c.

From the moment Sarah Manning (Tatiana Maslany) locked eyes with an unknown identical woman, who jumped to her death, her life has never been the same. She’s found out she’s a clone, that there are multiple clones out there, and multiple factions that sought to hunt, control, betray or kill them. Now, the final showdown with Rachel — the one clone at the center of it all who’s sought to destroy her and her sestras from Day One — begins. And as the walls close in on her, Sarah must decide her next move very carefully, for this time, it’s life or death for everyone she loves.

When we last saw Sarah, she’d been badly beaten in an epic physical battle against Rachel, that left her bruised and broken. Her foster mum, Mrs. S (Maria Doyle Kennedy), and daughter Kira (Skyler Wexler) were taken hostage and her sestra Cosima went missing. Now, Cosima, Alison, and their allies have been brought to heel. Even more harrowing is that Kira has joined them in surrender. Rachel, sitting at the head of the Neolution table, has carte blanche access to their clone biology, and with Helena pregnant with twins, her biology is the most coveted of all. Sarah in a desperate attempt to regain control, realizes she must change tactics to pursue a long game. She, and those still able to fight, will uncover the missing pieces of the insidious conspiracy — and finally free themselves from the tyranny that has taken over their lives. Despite the great risk, the fight of her life will either set her and her sestras free, or see them meet their end.

Returning cast this season include Jordan Gavaris as Felix; Kristian Bruun as Donnie; Kevin Hanchard as Detective Art Bell; Evelyne Brochu as Dr. Delphine Cormier; Josh Vokey as Scott; and Ari Millen as Ira. Guest stars include James Frain as Ferdinand; Lauren Hammersley as Adele; and new addition Jenessa Grant as
Mud, Cosima’s one true friend on the Island.

Sarah is deeply wounded and struggling to stay alive on the Island. Driven deep into its forest by Neolutionists and worse, she strives to make it far enough to rescue Cosima. Meanwhile, a recovering Cosima reunites with Delphine, but there’s way more going on this Island than Cosima imagined and Delphine can’t give her all the answers she needs. What is clear is that Rachel is now in firmly in charge at the right-hand of the 170-year-old founder of Neolution, PT Westmorland. Back home, Neolution puts the screws to Alison and Donnie in their hunt for Helena. The sestras couldn’t be further apart when they need most to be together.

Feels like home. Feels so good, but bittersweet.

Also, damn her emoting is still on point. Everyclone is so distinct even now. 5 seasons in and nearing finish line.

Ready for the final season. So happy Maslany got her Emmy last year, such an amazing performance since the beginning of the show.

Her acting is so good, I sometimes have to remind myself that it is just a single actress playing all of those roles and not distinct people.

Few actors have the skill to pull that off.

I think BBC America inadvertently helped a lot too when they asked them to make Sarah British. Because that meant there's no clone on screen that can be looked at as baseline Tatiana to compare the other clones to.

It may be getting old to talk about this still. Any doubt or wonder of if the clones are actually the same person is dispelled, completely couldn't see any visible trickery which means they've gotten better.

When Sarah entered the trailer I was looking for how the sun was shining through the blinds, those blinds' shadows were consistent on Sarah and Cosima, and Sarah's body cast a shadow on Cosima and vice versa. Furthermore Cosima put her hand on Sarah's knee while Sarah looked at her.

It's not old at all. The fact that they haven't even been nominated for an Emmy for their FX work is crazy. Them and the hair and makeup department, cause if any of those things fail it doesn't matter how well she's acting her ass off in those scenes.

The scenes are so casual now that you don't even think about it. Had to point it out to someone on reddit last year when they thought there were less clone scenes that season when actually it was the most by far. There were just no big gimmicky "LOOK AT US AND WHAT WE'RE DOING" ones.

There was a funny moment at Comic-Con last year when her double mentioned they pasted her mouth on Tatiana's face at one point to make Cosima assisting in the worm removal work, and Tatiana didn't even know about it until then.

Hey, thanks man. I was referring to me since I brought it up in the last thread too.

Thanks for that information, had no idea.

Seriously. The hair/makeup on this show is so damn good.

I really noticed how important it was in Season 2, when Allison's just woke up in rehab smudged eyeliner made her look a little like Sarah at a glance, and Helena putting lipstick on started to make her not look like Helena. Every little detail on them is so important.

A good opening episode, though a lot of plot contrivances. I had forgotten how Sarah, who is supposed to be this streetwise, rough-and-tumble woman was so useless in the finale last season and let herself get beat up and stabbed by a someone with a cane. They always end up making her helpless in these situations, as they did with this episode again.

Rachel as comic relief was good, but wicked, evil Rachel never really felt believable to me and just makes the plot a bit cheesy. On the plus side, Brochu did a much better job with Delphine in this episode, I really liked her performances.

Donnie running away from his wife in need and then Russian-trained assassin Helena getting stabbed by a stick(??). Just so much convenient plot BS that goes against what we know of these characters in order to basically neuter the entire clone family. Bad writing, even though it was an episode full of stuff happening.

Can somebody spoil s4 for me because I am not going to be bother. Also plz name the girls in "house wife" "college girl" "crazy girl" code names so I can remeber whos who.

Wasn't that an accident though? Plus, she's pregnant!

Maybe it was? It was hard to tell what was going on there to be honest. Jumping on someone's back is not exactly what I imagined stone cold Helena doing though. And pregnant, well, the show has taught me in the past that she could probably wrestle a bear in her condition...

S05E02:
Clutch of Greed - Rachel gives Sarah an ultimatum, and her decision causes a clash with Kira; Felix brings an old ally into the mix.

Jordan Gavaris Explains It All - The Orphan Black star on toxic masculinity, good acting, and why he waited to come out until this interview. (He’d never really been asked.)

Really wasn't looking forward to this episode. Knew it was coming from little bits of the pre-season trailers. Man, if you include the comics she had one perpetually shitty life that remained shitty right up until the end.

What the hell. M.K. dying was one of the worst things to happen on this show. What miserable treatment of a great character we hardly even got to know. Seriously, a hearty fuck you to the writing staff for that one.

And now Kira is on Team Rachel? I am not down with the way this season is going.

I do like the casting choice / makeup / costuming for the old guy though.

I can't believe how little activity the OT is getting this season. What happened to everyone?

Don't blame Kira for being sick of running away constantly and being whisked around and around like that, honestly.

Sucks about MK. That felt... gratuitous? IDK, it was just weird. :\

Normally I'd agree with you about Kira, but she is one of those "wise beyond their years" TV kids and so it felt out of character for her to side with Rachel, who Kira knows is evil and doesn't have the sisters' best interests at heart.

As for MK, it felt like they only brought her back to be a plot device. It didn't make sense for Sarah to just abandon her sistra like that (a few minutes after saying "you're one of us now") to what she knew was possibly going to be her death. But on top of that, the death did as you say feel gratuitous and way more violent than I can remember this show being.
