I would imagine the average American seeing nothing wrong with shilling shit for billion dollar corporations for absolutely nothing. The rest of the planet however, those that haven't voluntarily devalued their own labour capital and become sniveling wretches to please their randian overlords, their titans of industry, their benevolent corporate overlords might see something inherently degrading about it.
Yep, I have a little self respect so I find it disgusting.
yes yes, you're a paragon of virtue and self-restraint for not playing a game, good for you
Anyway, this seems like a bad idea to me. The app's already becoming less popular; the article posted in the OP claimed that the amount of daily active users went down from 14 million at the start of April to 10 million as of yesterday. And once more people hear about the change, I think that a good chunk of them will just stop using the app altogether - assuming that the advertising words will be added to both versions of the app, and not just the free version. And of course, there'll be a bunch of people that just draw something gross based on the ads out of spite and then move on to the next thing - I guess that still counts as advertising, but it doesn't seem all that great to me.
I... wait, doesn't it already have this? I thought that's why shit like "Tintin" "Spider-Man" and "Adele" came up.
I guess it falls under parody or something? I don't know much about legal terms, so your guess is as good as mine.
