BRITANNIA: WE WHO ARE ABOUT TO DIE #2 - Talking naked statues of Roman gods? I asked for this. As the mystery of the dead boys deepens, Antonius must figure out how Achillia, the woman gladiator, ties into this whole thing. You know, Rome really sucked. Antonius was the closest thing they had to a investigator and pretty much everyone in the city wants to kill him. I don’t know, I guess his personality doesn’t help.
ETERNAL WARRIOR: AWAKENING - Thank you, based Venditti for coming back for this one-shot. In a time before civilization, Gilad suffers a devastating injury and is taken in by a tribe. But as the tribe is threatened by outsiders, GIlad will return the favor - in blood. Gallons of them, to be accurate.
FAITH #11 - The Faithless overcome Faith! With the combined force of all of her past rogues, will Faith be able to emerge victorious? I mean, real talk, the cat is probably the most threatening out of all of them. I’m surprised she was able to beat him the first time.

NINJAK #27 - Colin King has bested the strongest assassins in the world, fought against Deadside spirits, and returned from the dead, but now he faces his greatest threat yet - super-soldiers mutated with traits of the jungle’s deadliest predators. Will Ninjak be able to meditate and come to a cathartic realization hard enough to defeat these crazy cats?
RAPTURE #1 - Ninjak had so much fun in his first adventure to the Deadside, that he’s back to do it again! As if almost dying the first time wasn’t enough. With a war threatening to spill over from the Deadside to Earth, Tama, the current adorable Geomancer, gathers help from Ninjajack, Shadowman, and Punk Mambo (i.e. the most dysfunctional team-up in comics history) to stop the war and save the Earth.
XO MANOWAR #3 - As the war rages on, Aric’s resolve is tested in ways he never would have expected. But with his back against the wall, will he be able to come out on top without using the full power of the Shanhara armor? I’m pretty sure Aric’s been doing a better job with that Aquaman hook arm than he has whenever he used the suit. Either way, these alien dudes are going to get bodied this issue, for sure.

Archie #20 By Waid, Woods, Morelli (May 17th) - Cheryl Blossom finally goes on the warpath, and her target will surprise you! And why does Betty have second thoughts about her new boyfriend every time Archie walks by...?
The Archies One Shot By Segura, Rosenberg, Eisma (May 24th) - Follow Archie's quest to make his songwriting dreams a reality, and see what happens when the rock 'n' roll dream starts affecting his relationships with his closest friends.
Josie and the pussycats #7 By Superstar Marguerite Bennett, DeOrdio, Mok (May 31st ) - Josie and the Pussycats are on a roll like never before, racking up award wins and climbing the charts! But are the "and the Pussycats" living their dreams, or just Josie's? Are Melody and Valerie ready to try their hand at succeeding on their own terms?

Little Josie and the pussycats One Shot By Baltazar, Franco (May 10th) -
Josie and the Pussycats’ drummer Melody comes across colorful kitties and decides to adopt them as band mascots. But these aren’t ordinary kittens—they’re magical, and they’re about to rock Little Josie, Valerie and Melody’s world like never before!
Motor Girl #6 By Terry Moore (May 31st) - If there is one person on Earth that visiting aliens trust, it's Samantha Locklear. Now Sam is fighting to save the desert junkyard that has become a UFO safehaven from an industrial tycoon determined to seize the land and in-stall an anti-UFO weapon. Fortunately, Sam has a secret weapon of her own, her imaginary gorilla friend Mike!
The Normals #1 By Glass, Calero (May 24th) - Think about your "life" for a moment...the people you've known, the one's you've loved, and all the stuff in between. Now imagine you learned that everything YOU believed, everything YOU lived, everything YOU felt actually never happened...it was ALL not real. But it is REAL to YOU and you now must fight to save it and everyone you love. But to do that, you first have to save the world.

Rom #11 Ryall, Cage, Messina (May 31st) - Rom's war against the Wraiths takes a dark turn as he's forced to fight alone against both the returning, far more dangerous, Axiom, and a dual threat from the ocean depths... Scylla and Charybdis!
TMNT Universe 10 By Campbell, Curnow, Revel (May 17th) - Rom's war against the Wraiths takes a dark turn as he's forced to fight alone against both the returning, far more dangerous, Axiom, and a dual threat from the ocean depths... Scylla and Charybdis!
Theres nothing there #2 By Kindlon, Llovet (May 17th) - Reno puts ghosts on the back burner to walk the red carpet. But hauntings aren't scheduled things, and she soon finds herself visited by another restless spirit. Meanwhile, more corporeal threats begin to form around her as a stalker and an angry sex cult jockey for position. It's beginning to feel like nowhere is safe.

We've been having some talk of spoilers a lot lately, so I figured it's a good idea to have a section for it.
-If you must post a spoilery panel or a page from a comic (recent or otherwise), please link to them with a proper spoiler warning.
-Please at least allow one week before posting unmarked spoilers.
-Announcements/Solicitations are not spoiler worthy, no need to tag

Love the thread Messi, but Roman reigns isn't losing tonight, title is misleading, but at least you involved the man.

Just May and I've already hit 600 comics! Yeah, I think I will definitely be hitting 1000 this year.

I read something called Starseeds. I have no idea what I read though.

House of Penance was pretty decent. Front half felt a bit meandering and aimless but the strong finale pulled it together well I think. Bertram and Stewart are the stars of the book though.

Ohh, that cowboy comic's art is beautiful.

Green Lanterns in the OP, excellent

God dammit, how did that happen?

I intentionally picked it for Tim and so we wouldn't have the same 9 books every month.

I caught up on Rumble and that book is still awesome. In the letters they mention taking a hiatus but will return but I see its been gone since October and it hasn't been solicited up to July best case scenario is an august return. That sucks. I know sales weren't great but I hope it can return soon. It's a top quality book.

Harren had the Seven To Eternity issues lined up but both he and Arcudi have said there's definitely more to come, just no mention of when. Hopefully not too long a wait.

Awesome Fegredo piece in the back of that last mouse guard book:

Harren is an absolute superstar. I can't see that book working with anyone else.

MONTH OF TASKMASTER ACTUALLY GETTING TO DO STUFF, CALLING IT NOW

Deadpool vs. Punisher 3

Secret Empire 1

Steve Rogers 17

ONE OF THESE please god let all this build-up be worth it.

Totally agree. I can't imagine he goes long without doing a major book for the big two either, he's been out there since that Conan run at Dark Horse so fingers crossed Rumble isn't put on the backburner for too long. As of April 11th, his response was that it would return eventually :/

Great OT as always btw, love that the Mignola stuff always gets in there

How are we feeling about the new Gen X book? Anyone read anything by this writer before? The art looks good.

I'm already buying a gagillion X-men books, hey what's one more
when you're Canadian and paying crazy conversion prices.

I need some deets on the last few arcs of TMNT before issue #51.

Didn't Donatello die back in the Technodrome arc?

Everybody is Foot Clan now?

Don briefly got his mind transferred into a robot while his body was healing, then had his mind transferred back.

Splinter killed Shredder in a duel and took over the foot clan.

My b-day is on Friday, which of course usually aligns or be close to a marvel movie.:p Hopefully GotG Vol 2 will be good.

Comic wise, I be checking out the next trade for Detective Comics for now, which is coming on the 10th, and maybe then I probably go by the issues.

Guardians of the Galaxy and Free Comic Book Day within a week! What a way to start the month.

Question about the Phoenix Force: is there only one of it? Just curious on it popping up in both
Thanos
and
The Mighty Thor
.

I flipped through this a few weeks ago and thought the art looked pretty neat. I take it you weren't too into the writing?

The art was interesting. But I wasn't being snarky, I really didn't understand what was happening. Sure, there is a central conflict but the panel to panel writing was even more confusing than Moebius' third acts.

Lol GotG.

And once they find themselves caught in a war between The Collector and The Grandmaster, there will hardly be time to explain why Groot can’t grow any bigger, what Gamora is searching for or why Drax has sworn off violence!

Groot will start growing in a few months after the hype for Vol 2 dies down a little.:p

Just cuaght up on Bendis' Iron Man run all the way up to the end of Civil War II. Didn't care too much about the stuff tying into Civil War II, though the last issue with him and Carol running into eachother the AA meeting was pretty well-done; they could have honestly have made that the final issue of Civil War II and it would have been so much better.

International Iron Man was pretty good though, though I found the dialogue a little weird and the book didn't provide a good reason why it couldn't be a seperate arc in the main Iron Man book. But some fantastic visuals from Maleev, I also enjoyed the main villain, I hope Bendis brings her back at some point. another the book did that I apreciate is that it told a spy story set withing the Marvel universe and beside Iron Man and Howard Stark, it didn't have any pre-established Marvel characters outside of Fury in a couple pages. which seems like a huge accomplishment since Coulson, Hill or Fury are almost in a book when SHIELD is involved.

Honestly, I feel like it's too late for that. Especially with the kind of undertaking it would be. Do you know how many seasons it would take to tell those stories? More than that show would have before getting cancelled. :3
Honestly i'm just counting down when American Gods is getting cancelled.
Plus i'm not sure how it would translate, as long as they don't pull a lucifer
