Bored and alone at home on a friday night *sigh*

My roommate is gone for the weekend and the chick i'm seeing is MIA for two weeks and suddenly, I have no idea what to do. Maybe it's age, but I remember being able to stay home alone on a Friday and entertain myself with videogames or tv and have a great time but now, at 26, I find it highly depressing. My other friends all have girlfriends who are whipping them and as a result, i only really get to see them during breakups or birthdays.

I'm bored out of my mind and it's really depressing. There's nothing on TV, I downloaded season 2 of weeds but i can only watch so many episodes before i get bored. I tried playing some videogames, the only thing that even caught my attention was punch-out and that didn't last very long.

So what does everyone else here do on a friday night if you're stuck home alone?

I'm home alone as well, but I'm content. Just spent 3 days at an academic conference where I presented, so I'm thoroughly wiped and will enjoy plopping my ass down to either watch the hockey game, do some cleaning, maybe do some laundry, some writing, reading, or general resting. I also have a roommate who I can chat with here and there, so that's also helpful. If you can't think of anyone to call and are genuinely depressed by the situation, I would say that tomorrow is another chance to grab hold of life a little more.

I can't believe I didn't think of getting stoned and for god's sake, i've been watching weeds. I think my roommate still has a stash so i'll go do that. But uhh, i haven't smoked up alone before, wouldn't that make things worse. I'm so happy i have plans for tomorrow night.

I'm also alone tonight. My girlfriend is up in Maryland visiting family until next Friday, and most of my friends are busy studying for finals. I got to hang out with some buds last night for Spider-Man 3, but I really don't have anything for tonight. :(

I'm about five seconds away from ordering a pizza and cracking out the Die Hard Trilogy collection.

Yeah, but those are some ridiculously expensive tickets. She gets back Sunday night too, which I'm eagerly looking forward to.

I really miss my wife. I typically have no problem when she's gone, but I'm not handling this one too well. Maybe it's because she's not that far away in North Bend.

Depends on you really, when I smoke alone I get really interested in stuff that I own ( Dvd's games etc) and I usually rewatch an old favorite or play an older game ( dunno why). Drinking alone is not so much fun for me. Im a bit stoned right now so I think I'm gonna go play some Mega Man 2, good luck.

well, I went for a nice hike in Okutama yesterday, and it was a long trip back on the train, and it was standing room only because everyone else was going to okutama. Okutama was really beautiful! It's just SUCH a pain in the ass to get to by train. Maybe there is a bus that goes straight there....

so, i grabbed some food at the new marunouchi building, and came home and looked around on gaf and went to bed. that's what I did last night.

This is my first "free" friday night in a long time. My wife is away for the weekend so I get to drink and play video games all I want. So I suggest enjoy the free time you have now. it will be "Game Over" soon anyways.

So far tonight I've brank a 6 pack of Lowenbrau and a home made maragirta. (6 oz tequila [only 100% Agave kind], 1 Limeade, 2 oz tripple sec, ice).

Getting drunk alone may not seem like fun when your single and 26, but at 29 and married i call it relief. :D
