My mom started following me on twitter. How do I block her from seeing my tweets without her knowing that I'm blocking her?

So I guess there's no way to do it without her knowing huh. Facebook lets you do that with statuses... wish twitter offered this option.

I mean, I'm an adult living 1000 miles from her, but she's the type to be up worrying about her only son because he's not at home by 10:00pm.

Everyone reaches the point when a parent or older relative jumps in on social media and begins their tireless effort to stalk and review every photo or comment you upload.

Pretend that it was hacked, make a new twitter and tell her to follow that

Edit: oh it was already suggested a few posts above me, boo.

I'm not an NPC. And neither are we.
Tell your mom your Twitter account has been hacked and that she should stop following it.

Indeed, follow up with making a new Twitter account for her to follow. Here are some sample tweets for your new account:

"Reading my Bible!"
"Street lights on already? Better get home."
"Had my one glass of red wine for the day, better lay off alcohol"
"Someone propositioned me drugs in the parking lot of my school/workplace, and I declined politely"

If you are annoyed your Mom can now see what you are going to Tweet, then that means you have Tweeted stuff you don't want her to see in the past. You should probably now freak out, as she can easily access all of those Tweets too.

Why does that bother you?

On Facebook and Twitter I discuss bars, clubs, fattening foods, girls, and random details of my life which may not necessarily be rated G. My mother would have a heart attack if she saw any of my Facebook statuses. Speaking of Facebook, I actually made a second account for her to be friends with, and she eventually found my primary one and added me. At the time, Facebook didnt let you select audiences so I just ignored her request and never added her to my primary account.

hahaha, oh god that would be so hilarious if it didn't backfire. The risk might be worth it.

Post links to porno vids that eerily resemble your mom. Or maybe tweet about some molestation that went on when you were younger. Either way, just post some creepy shit that'll make her choose not to read anymore.

:lol sadly this is what I would jokingly post in response to someone else making this thread
