Yep

Just hook your HDTV in to a pc do a screen calibration for that and make all the rest of your input settings the same or relatively.

Powerstrip to sync your tv timings right but you can take a show with your nvidia or ati drivers just plain.

Once it's connected and turned on just look up monitor calibration on google there are plenty of sites to help out. Here's a place you can do a basic calibration of your own.

Please don't do that.

Do a search on AVS forum. There are numerous still images and video files available for calibrating.

Different devices output differently, calibrating for one device and using the same settings on everything doesn't work.

Probably better than no calibration, but still.

I searched on there and couldn't find anything. Any help? I got a new TV recently and it's been bugging the crap out of me that things don't look just right yet.

Hmm, I don't have an HDDVD or Bluray player (only have a 360). Is there anyway I could burn it to a DVD and achieve the same purpose? Or could I stream it from my Mac to 360?

That's a nasty discussion in and of itself especially when you consider tv's and such don't use what pcs or more pure rgb spec devices do. It's freebie solution and next to popping in a dvd thx optimizer what really can he do?

If you're looking for a decent calibration tool, try a Pixar DVD. Every Pixar movie comes with a step by step calibration tool in the DVD's settings. I used this method with my TV set and I was pleased with the results.

That and all of the Star Wars DVDs. Also, if you have a 360 and Halo 3 special edition or above, then there is a calibration tool on the second disc.

Holy shit, I just did the calibration test that was on my Cars DVD and everything looks damn good. Even the menus in Call of Duty 4 look clear and vibrant. :lol

Shit. I have quite few dvds and none have calibration tests. Guess I have to buy something from Pixar, right?

I have Casiono Royale on BR (Sony free be) but no remote for PS3 so I can't type 7669 :p.

Just bring up the PS3 playback menu with triangle and enter the numbers on that.

Yep. I tried it out on my Paprika BD and it works fine. Just type the numbers in and then hit the enter button don't press start.

I tried the Casino Royale calibration once but didn't understand a thing. I'll use the guide tonight, thanks!
