The Ikaruga theme pack actually has some excellent official artwork, including stuff posted in this thread. The background for the guide blade isn't so hot, so I just used smoke for that. It looks beautiful.

Yeah, thanks anyway, but like I said: I'd prefer the official art (but larger) and even the ones you linked are kind of small. :[

Does anyone know where I can upload images of more than 15 MB, and that also posts codes for thumbnails? I have some large character portraits of Street Fighter IV if anyone wants them, but la.gg only allows up to 10 MB unless you've donated.

Use http://www.filedropper.com/

and just upload a second resized image for the thumbnail.

It's official. It's on the cover of the Ultimania Omega of FFXII. I have a high-res version (2602x3703). I also have an entire folder dedicated to game art at similar sizes. I get to uploaded it when I get time.

If you don't want to lose quality, png is the better choice, because it uses lossless compression. It also can have transparency, if needed.

I recently had 2 (awesome) Monkey Island posters printed. Resolution-wise they were both 4724x6301 and printed on 60x80 paper. I've already checked several shops and you can get all kinds of frames in that size.

I had it done at www.posterxxl.nl and was pleasantly surprised that it's actual thick poster paper instead of a glossy photocopy. You can just upload it on the site. If you bring it to a shop, I imagine a CD with the picture in jpeg format would do the trick.
