What I'm waiting to see is if Super Mario 64 DS makes the top 100. It made the mid-year Top 100 in 2005, 2006, and 2007. However, in the back half of last year it only sold 27K, so I think it will have finally sputtered out. (Until it shows up in the 2008 Top 500)

Actually, this makes me less sure of that. I might have missed some appearances in more recent monthly charts or something, but the last I've got of it in Garaph is 893,713 as of late March. It's at 912,746 as of this chart, so an additional 19,033 over 12 weeks for an average of 1,586 per week. Maintaining that rate it'd be more than a year away.

I thought SMG would pass up SM64DS since it started stronger, but it doesn't seem to have the same legs. At this point in its life, SM64DS was selling twice as well.

A game in a front-loaded genre, on a console as unsuccessful as X360, selling to more than 10% of the userbase in year two... dreaming, man.

It sold 91K in 2007 and was up to 104K by February. By now it might have overtaken the #2 X360 spot from DOA4.
