Received my second issue today and already thumbed through most of it. Still very pleased with backing it.

I ordered it individually to give the mag a test drive before subscribing, but there's no tracking on orders from GameGavel! I'll just to feverishly check the mailbox like I did in the halcyon days of print gaming mags.

I'm not crazy about Pat, unless he's specifically an NES consultant. His knowledge is very, very focused to NES, TG16, and very little everything else. No import stuff.

I'm kind of afraid a US Retro magazine will be nothing but S/NES all day every day =[

^pat knows about Turbo? huh

my issue came in, hoping to have time to read it soon! too early to say how SNES heavy it is, but i'm mostly hopeful the Gamestop buyout doesn't change anything up.

Hey NEOGAF!

Time is really flying as we are already publishing our third issue of RETRO Magazine. And, RETRO has also been approved by Barnes & Noble stores for national distribution here in the USA. We are hoping to have that all up and running by our 4th issue this July!

Anyway, check out our Issue #3 Preview right here and also check out the subscription discounts if you are not yet a subscriber.

Thanks again for all your support over here at NG!

Great news with the Barnes & Noble deal! Hope that gives the magazine a nice bump in circulation.

Wait a second. From the preview picture for the cover of Issue #3, it looks like it is no longer staple-bound. Is that the case, or is that just an inaccurate render of the actual magazine?

^nice! great cover too, can't wait. let's see if Kohler does the Genesis library justice, heh.

also i gotta admit, i was a little bummed Strider didn't make the cover but the timing didn't work out, admittedly.

Yearning for a magazine like this.. Glad to see it's still alive and well.
Now that a few issues have been out, Is it true to the cast/staff advertised in the OP?

And then the LORD David Bowie saith to his Son, Jonny Depp: 'Go, and spread my image amongst the cosmos. For every living thing is in anguish and only the LIGHT shall give them reprieve.'
That cover is beautiful. You guys should offer large prints of ones this good.

My subscription started at issue #2 (I've since received issues 2 and 3).

Does anyone know if I can purchase a digital PDF copy of issue #1? Or if there's someone somewhere who's selling a print copy of issue #1?

Thanks! I'll be subscribing to your print edition. I miss good old fashioned mags I can flip through on my porch on a lazy summer day. EGM just isn't the same anymore and I let that subscription lapse. I only get Game Informer now so getting Retro will be cool. :)

Should I still be waiting for the 3rd issue? I received 1 and 2 no problem and I just got a Kickstarter update that the 4th issue will be mailed soon. Am I SOL for the 3rd issue?

My local retro shop got the newest issue in. I still haven't seen my subscription copy in the mail. Anyone get theirs yet?
