I had a feeling it'd be short. >_>
It'll be like the AC of this year, it will riddle the used-games section, and be on sales right after Christmas. I'm going to wait until then so that I can buy the game new, and feel good for supporting a new game, but get it at forty bucks, which is much more manageable than sixty for the game. Given all the hate Heavenly Sword got for being a short game, we should hate on this. Though I won't. |

Would someone have a spare key to unlock time trial? And would that nice someone share that spare key? Pretty please? (360 version, in case it matters)
Oh and here's my take on the time matter: not everyone wants to replay a level multiple times. More content is always better, why is this even being debated. That said, I loved the demo. Will buy. |

I've always found that when shes maybe a foot off the ground is the best distance...you can guesstimate that. |

I downloaded the demo on both ps3 / 360 and found ps3's colors richer and the contrast isn't as overblown which gives it more of a 3D feel, also if you look at the ground textures on both you can see more details on ps3 version regardless of tv / in game brightness / contrast settings. the only negative against ps3's is that the jaggies are a bit more intrusive as if its running in a slightly lower resolution. also there is a few occasions where the ps3 ver loses vsync which causes some screen tearing.
Tough call on which version I would buy, judging from the demo I really liked the way it looks on PS3 but the jaggies are a bit annoying. Pro's and Cons on both systems. Game itself is pretty interesting I had fun after going through the demo a few times, especially after getting used to the controls. |

I don't really mind the length - I can definitely see myself replaying this game quite a bit - I love the gameplay a lot. Plus I'm really excited that my girlfriend is into this game. It's hard to find a game that we can play together and both enjoy a lot. The last game that happened with was Oblivion, and it was great fun playing together and sharing our experiences with our different characters.
I'm kind of bummed to hear about ME's story & hearing that it's so linear though, but I could have guessed from the demo. |

i was hoping for something a little longer (like 10 hours), but i've always had the feeling this was going to be a short experience.
As long as those six hours are really packed with quality and fun, it's not a huge problem with me. DAY ONE no matter what, i got it preordered (UK version, Italian voiceover FTL). |

10 hours of Mirror's Edge would be too fucking much.
You can't compare this to something like Resident Evil or Metal Gear Solid, which were good, long games, because in those games you spent the whole time creeping forward inch by inch or running back forth unlocking doors. In ME you never turn around and are constantly sprinting forward as fast as you can. As long as ME has as much variety and detail as other games, what does it matter how long a playthrough takes? You're getting the same content, only sped up. Last edited by Zoc : 11-10-2008 at 01:33 PM. |

I'm fine with the length. I don't buy games to last me a long time these days (since I'm busy with so many other things). I buy them for the quality of the entire experience. Length doesn't necessarily always have a direct correlation with the quality of a game.

Just finished the tutorial level got a trophy.
when you finish a level you can choose to continue to the next level or stay at the level and go anywhere you want in the level , or to try to beat a challenge(there is no challenge in the tutorial level). I stayed at the tutorial level and got a trophy for free jumping i think. on the status menu you can check if you shot an enemy . I think the shooting better than the demo. |

Late saturday night, I downloaded the PS3 version of Mirrors Edge and couldn't believe how shit it looked compared to my 360 version.
Then I remembered that I was hooked up at 480i. I had picked up the PS3 that day I'll do a better comparison when HD my cables arrive Beer and analysis are not the best of friends... |
