Sorry about the previous post that has since been edited. This is not the place for that, and I honestly doubt there will ever be a time for it.

If this post was an attempt to call me on not making "wild" predictions prior, I have been talking about expecting Enix to put out a DQ spinoff in 2009 for the Wii as a barometer for DQX for weeks. I was expecting them to wait to see how that did before deciding on whether to put DQX on Wii, DS or the next generation of consoles, but I guess Enix decided not to wait.

Well, I do gotta hand it to SE... (Enix side anyway)... .they've stuck to their word about putting DQ on the best selling platforms (DS and Wii this generation). So, this really shouldn't come as a surprise.

Valkyria is worth $60, and considering that shortages of the game, this price will not likely go down.

Sega was smart for once by not printing a 300,000 copies of a game that would sell 100,000 copies.

Veryyy little imo. I mean, its sales could and can ramp up and shit, but the way things are now, DQX had a bigger chance to be on the PSP than the PS3.

Back in the NES day I played all the way through the original Dragon Quest DRAGON WARRIOR BABY!!! I wonder if my level 30 guy is still saved on my NES kart.... and, while having tried many of the successors in the series, have never been able to play through them VIII included, I've tried twice, my interest eventually just dies about 2/3 to 3/4 through the games. :(

It's when that whole orchestra kicks in that really gets my nipples hard. That cutscene/fight with the dragon was FUCK AWESOME.

I've seen this said a couple of times and I don't quite get it. Isn't the Wii technically the third best selling system at the moment? People have been saying for ages how handhelds are dominating the consoles in Japan. The only thing I can come up with is that neither the DS or the PSP will still be in production by the time DQX is out, so the Wii may have the largest userbase of the active systems by 2012 or whenever this hits.
